Unfortunately it's illegal to carry in a church in Michigan, even when you have a permit. I'm not sure whether the pastor can authorize it. That would be worth checking.

Churches are almost always “off-limits” in CCW laws.
Of course, better to be safe than sorry.

I agree with PapaBear and other upthread posters. Our church is small but I know of at least 5 of us that are carrying every single service. Doesn’t hurt to be prepared.

I hate the idea of having to get a license. Makes it easy to find those that have guns if the gov’t so chooses..

The problem with your idea is that once you get a CCW permit, you may not carry in a church or place of worship. Without a CCW one may openly carry anywhere in Michigan, it’s the law.
