Just started watching it. It comes on opposite “Castle” but I record it and watch it later.
” This isn’t the only show that’s been emerging recently with conservative themes. “
The real surprise, to me, has been the “Law and Order - Los Angeles” series....
While not exactly ‘right-wing’ by our definition - compared to the rest of the L&O programs, it’s just this side of Goldwater....
Are they going to do an episode on birth certificates?

Can you name a couple of others? I have trouble finding anything worth watching these days, so any recommendations would be appreciated.

CBS has a few episodes of the new Hawaii Five O and Blue Bloods available for online viewing:

Burn Notice starts new episodes on November 11. Hulu.com and USA Network will have episodes available for online viewing usually a week after the air date.
I like it. It’s a great show. Never watched the other one much.
I was prepared to watch the opener and go “Oh well, didn’t think it would all that”.
I watch it every week and it’s a terrific show. Loved how they weaved the foundation of each character such as how Dan-O got his name.
Good action and pretty good stories.
I don’t watch much episodic television, but I really enjoy this show!

The show makes the native Hawaiians all look like real a—holes, though.
I saw the first show and thought it was rather violent compared to the old Hawaii Five O. Maybe I’ll need to take a second look.
Has Wo Fat made an appearance yet?
I am a pretty good fan of the original series and this new version is nothing like the original.
My first beef is Danno, now we have this wimp who knows nothing and whines about everything, plus he has no communication skills with the natives. He should be replaced immediately.
McGarret is actually pretty good and better in some ways. But the overall impression is unlike the original, here he does come off as an outsider being an actor playing a part of a famous historical TV series. I do like his attitude and his hardened steel like conviction personality.
Having a chic replacing Kono obviously is a sign of the times, I’m not impressed with her in any fashion, she doesn’t rock my boat, she does not show any unique trait and actually comes off as being gullible and stupid.
I fear this series will be nothing but a propaganda tool, it would be interesting to know how much the Hawaii Tourism Bureau is contributing to the show. With tourism in the pits right now I can easily suspect there must be a lot of money being sent to CBS to pay for the series, and more importantly to keep Hawaii in a proper image.
So far its done pretty good, it shows people living on the beaches, it shows the contempt the natives have for the white people or Haoles. But the original series had on almost every episode something that killed people, endangered a lot of people, lots of drugs and even a threat of there being a weapon of mass destruction on the islands.
Of which anything like that now would shut down tourism. Except maybe the drug part. So I wonder just how much of the old Hawaii Five-0 type of script will emerge nowadays.
In summary I am disappointed and it does get recorded but is way at the bottom of my list of interesting shows. Sorry CBS, it fails to grab me.
