Army cadets have been left bitterly disappointed after being banned from carrying rifles on a Remembrance Day parade - amid fears the weapons might 'upset' onlookers.
The young cadets have proudly marched with rifles for decades and around 100 had spent months fine-tuning the drill where they would showcase their skills.
But the cadets were left 'gutted' just days before the big event when military top brass cut the rifles from the display following complaints from members of the public.

I don't know what has happened to the West. Liberalism has ruined so much.

I don't know what has happened to the West. The UK is no longer part of 'The West' in my view. They are now part of 'The Middle East'.

What are they remembering on Remembrance Day?
The cadets should just stay home, if you ask me.

Egad! Poor Brits. Do they not recall that Hitler was not defeated by deploying tickle feathers?

amid fears the weapons might 'upset' onlookers. What does one suppose the onlookers might have expected to see?

“We choose to forget” on remembrance day.

And besides that, some weapons are glamorous. The craftsmanship is part of their appeal - the fine, efficient, and powerful workings of a firearm that has been wonderfully made is a thing of beauty. I don’t see the problem.

They need to carry a banner reading “Next time you need the military, just bend over and kiss your ass goodbye because you don't want us to have guns.....”

Since they aren’t encumbered with rifles, maybe they could toss condoms to the kiddies in the crowd as they march.

Writer Terry Pratchett was recently knighted. To honour this occasion, he commissioned a sword to be made. He actually did a lot of the work on his own property as far swelting the iron. He even added a few meteorites for that magical effect. After the sword was made he promtly had to hide it because he was a afraid the authorities would take an interest in his sword, and take it away. So, an actual Knight can’t even have a sword anymore, even if he keeps it in his house on display.

I am wondering - when the time comes again (as it always seems to), when the formerly great Britain needs the offspring of our Red states to come sacrifice their lives to keep them free from them from this guy and his co-religionists - is there anything left of England worth that sort of sacrifice?
Maybe not. Nothing but a fond memory of what they USED to be to western civilization.
