'Unapologetic Birther' Is New MO House of Representatives Majority Leader
TPMMuckraker ^ | Nov. 5, 2010 | Ryan J. Reilly

Posted on 11/06/2010 3:16:45 AM PDT by Smokeyblue

State Rep. Timothy W. Jones (R-Eureka) of the Missouri House of Representatives was unanimously elected by the new Republican caucus to be the next Majority Floor Leader. Why is that newsworthy? Because he was represented by "Birther Queen" Orly Taitz in a federal case alleging that President Barack Obama was secretly an Indonesian named Barry Soetoro and ineligible to be President of the United States.

Jones was listed as a plaintiff in a lawsuit filed by lawyer-dentist Taitz to obtain an original birth certificate, immigration records, passports and other vital records from Obama.

Taitz is pretty pumped about Jones being in a position of power. "WOW, an unapologetic birther is unanimously elected to be the speaker of MO Hopuse of Representatives!!!" Taitz wrote on her blog. "PLEASE, CONTACT HIM AND DEMAND THAT HE BRINGS THIS ISSUE TO THE FLOOR OF THE STATE HOUSE OF REP-S."

Methinks many states are going to require proof of Natural Born Citizenship for ballot qualification.
I think unsurprisingly, 0bama is going to claim he achieved everything he set out to, and bow out of the 2012 election.

But that will be a coincidence, of course...

If there are no investigations -what then? The ones who have
violated the law will know they got away with it. They will know they have silenced the opposition. I don’t speak for any but my self on my vote— but I most certainly did not vote for
ANY incumbent and I did vote with the intent of bringing change. No investigations will mean in two years the argument will be You didn’t do it when you had the opportunity —so
there is no justification for insisting on change now.We disagree in this.

You are SO right— the MYTH of his ascendancy is patterned after our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Myth here is Obama was born in Hawaii that his life before politics never existed
He simply came to dwell with us as our President to share his enlightened Islamic communistic global vision with us to ignorant to appreciate the nuances of the communist manifesto.

“Birther crap”? SO sad you are among the Americans who believe it acceptable that the President of the United States who by law takes solemn oath or affirms to “preserve, protect, and defend”the US Constitution. What you call “birther crap”
I call Constitutional Patriotism—and REASON. How can you say the US Constitution means so little to yourself that all those
under solemn Oath or affirmation to defend the Constitution can be allowed to violate that rust with impunity because you are distracted, ignorant or just think it “birther crap”

If there are no investigations -what then?

Look, you know the media will crucify Republicans for all the investigations. It will appear we are more focused on witch-hunts than doing what we campaigned on --- cutting spending, stopping healthcare and reducing taxes.

Any investigation better be so low-key that nobody knows it is happening.

And not investigation will provide what succor?A waste of money to defend the US Constitution Allowing him the satisfaction of knowing he has the POWER to subvert that very
Constitution he is required by law and by solemn Oath to “preserve, Protect, and Defend” Allowing him power to violate that trust for two more years—and then go on to be re elected—if he chooses or to do the Clinton and live the rest of his life believing in his own power to shut the people up
Wow you sure got your thinkin’ cap on. But we disagree.

Start investigating and you will ensure Republicans are booted out in 2012!!

Why would Missouri investigate when all they have to do is pass legislation that makes rules for proving to the state you are eligible to run for office.

Obama will either run or not after law is passed and he will either pass that test or not, that in this case would not just include proving citizenship by a birth certificate which this lawmaker seems to understand and the laws he is part of drawing up will probably include.

Either way it is a win for republicans...1)if Obama does not run damage is done to the party when rumors run wild he is not running because he can not prove citizenship gets big enough for hearings at the national level because Obama will be out of office by then and no riots but Republicans will see an opportunity to damage the dem party as a whole for perpetrating the greatest fraud on the American people all with the backing of a political party. 2)He runs and can not prove eligibility or refuses to and trys to get around the law same scenario only with some riots. 3)Last option he runs and proves he is a citizen and nobody cares.

The politics are either a great win and a long term blackening of the dem party with little damage to the country or Obama wins the issue and it goes away nobody caring. No, this does nothing to damage Republicans but could be a Nixon legacy for the dems.

“Not to worry, the SCOTUS is on the job, helping to cover up this treason.”

For real! Can you imagine the constitutional nightmare headache can of worms that they know they’d be opening?

Good. Mo. Can force him to show his papers for 2012.

They tried that. HJR 34 was proposed last year, proposing a constitutional amendment that required a long form birth certificate from all candidates, and stated "Other certifications, such as a certificate of live birth, shall not be accepted.” They were forced to withdraw it when they found out that Missouri itself only issues COLBs

Obama is an illegal president..thousands of posts on hundreds of threads have shown this.

Do you consider post #19 in this thread one of these "thousands of posts" that proves 0bama is an "illegal President"? You must, because it's pretty standard birther fare.

The spurious obama is an evil not seen since Caracalla. He is not a kindred American. He is not indegenous to the United States, he is not a natural citizen..he is not an inherent American.

He does not believe in an Republican form of government. He is a despotic.

The public is finally awakening to this fraud.

"They were forced to withdraw it when they found out that Missouri itself only issues COLBs"

What they require for state office is irrelevant. Any state can set any qualification they like as long as it is Constitutional (which requiring proof is). And I'd bet that "somewhere" in the bowels of Missouri bureaucracy resides the informational equivalent of the "long form birth certificate".

"Missouri Vital Records issues only certified copies of Missouri birth certificates (short forms), which are typically acceptable for passport, social security, employment, personal identification purposes and other legal purposes."

Here is the relevant quote. Note that it does NOT say that they don't "have" the information, only that they just "issue" COLB's. All the Missouri law needs to say is "long form birth certificate, or equivalent thereof", and defines the possible equivalents.

I agree somewhat, we don’t want to look like we want to impeach every Rat President, in retrospect, impeaching Clinton was not a good idea, the reason behind the impeachment was too complex for most people to comprehend. They thought it was about the affair.
However, I see nothing wrong in requiring birth certificate for being on ballott as it is required even to get in first grade

Which would include COLB and as a result Obama would have passed without problem. And what would be the fun in that?
