DALLAS, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- George W. Bush has avoided politics since leaving the Oval Office, but he privately scorns Sarah Palin and is critical of Barack Obama, friends say.
The former president has told friends Palin is unqualified for his old office and Sen. John McCain never should have put her on the ticket, the New York Daily News reported Friday.
"Naming Palin makes Bush think less of McCain as a man," a Republican with knowledge of his thinking told the Daily News. "He thinks McCain ran a lousy campaign with an unqualified running mate and destroyed any chance of winning by picking Palin."

Bush is a big government, big spending establishment Republican, so there’s no surprise here.

McCain’s own people and the media destroyed impressions of Sarah Palin. Sorry to hear GW doesn’t like her.

Happy to see most who have commented so far are noticing the anonymous source.
This sounds like a 2fer: bash both Bush and Palin all in one fell swoop.

Anonymous sources quoted in a liberal tabloid don’t impress me at all.

a Republican with knowledge of his thinking told the Daily News.
No name of course. Also, the headline says "friends" of Bush. So who's the "friends".
I call bullshit! The media making up "news" again.

Sounds like a Politico story meant to cause trouble inside the Republican party. I think it would be smart to not play along with these creeps.

This story is making the rounds by the MSM faster than you can say Republican Majority. After the drubbing the RAT's took on Tuesday, the RAT machine is working overtime trying to discredit the gal most responsible for energizing the Tea Party and Republican base
Oh - and by the way - the author of this story quotes that guy Unnamed Sources.

Bushbots vs. Palinistas Sounds like you're deliberately trolling for a flame war thread, Rabs.
I heard a snippet from some interview this morning where Bush was asked what he thought about Palin, he replied he wasn't a political pundit and refused to comment.
This story is a plant, lots of folks are falling for it too....
