CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) - Congressman Solomon Ortiz is calling for a recount of the U.S. Rep District 27 election. This is his statement that he sent to the Kiii newsroom:
"As I have said since Tuesday, we still need to ensure every vote is counted before determining the outcome of this race. However, since numerous voting irregularities have been reported in the 27th Congressional District of Texas race, I have also decided to ask for a manual recount. Just in the first days of counting, we've seen uncounted votes appear. It is my utmost desire to ensure that the votes of the people of South Texas be cast and counted and that no vote be left out. Therefore, we've begun putting together the documents necessary to request a recount. I thank all who participated in the election process."

“IT”S MY SEAT....IT”S MY SEAT....YOU CAN”T VOTE ME OUT”!!!
Another issue that needs to be passed is this “cheaters backdoor” way the dems have of showing ballots in bags, boxed, closet doors, etc after a close election.
If the ballots aren’t in the counting room by midnight, they DON’T count! Exception @#1 is the military votes - how many of those have not EVEN gotten counted....
Wonder what crevice he will pull his bag of funny ballots out of.
I guess we might as well just give it to him. They always win these and the GOP just gives up.
They are going to be find bags of ballots again.
I suppose it took a day or two for the votes to get printed and delivered down from Chicago.
Translation: We miscalculated the number of votes we needed to "find" so we need more time to "find" more ballots.
For some reason, the communist ‘RATS have a perfect record when it comes to “recounts”. I hope the GOP has a “bag of ballots” hanging around to respond with. In this banana republic, cheating is how you win these days.
Dumpsters? Sewers? Graves? Car trunks? The bottom of a lake? Out of thin air? The possibilities are limitless!
alas, the ratscum will find “bags of ballots” lying around someplace, ballots which magically put the ‘Rat candidate over the top
They need to fight this crap tooth and nail or just simply say hell no it is game over.
This scumbag Ortiz must be buried.
Box 13, which elected Lyndon Johnson to the Senate in 1948, had turned up after 62 years!
This is Texas, and all the statewide offices are held by Republicans. The election code in Texas was modernized even before the Florida recounts in 1980. Ortiz can't just ask for recounts in the best precincts; he has to have a recount in every precinct in the district. Also, precincts have to post the number of voters who have voted at 2 hour intervals beginning at 9:30am. It would be very suspicious for a precinct in which just 300 people voted prior to 5:30pm to all of a sudden have 1,000 votes by poll closing time at 7:00pm.
we still need to ensure every vote is counted before determining the outcome of this raceBy "we" he means "me and people who work for my campaign".
We need to get rid of this old corrupt scumbag once and for all. Thank God we got rid of the son.
Soros is a nonentity in Texas elections. Every statewide office is held by a Republican, and has been since the 1998 election when W ran for reelection as Governor and won 68% of the vote.
The TX House results were on Tuesday were even better than expected. Pollsters were predicting Republicans would pick up 12 seats to go from a paper thin 77-73 majority to a strong 89-61 majority. Instead Repubulicans have picked up 22 seats for a 99-50 majority, and there is an undecided race that we could still pick up for a 100-50 majority. Solomon Ortiz son Jr. aka "furniture" lost his seat by 5% to Raul Torres (R). The other Nueces county DemocRAT who lost a state house seat was Abel Herrero, and he was on the redistricting comittee. In 2012 the 27th district will be a much stronger Republican district, because the southern portion of it will be cut out to form a DemocRAT district in the Rio Grande Valley, and the district will be centered on Corpus Christi and take in parts of Ron Paul's district and Rubén Hinojosa's district.
