Yankee Pankey (FOLEY WON'T CONCEDE)
Wall Street Journal ^ | 11-5-10 | Staff

Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley tells us he isn't planning to concede Tuesday's Connecticut election until he's "certain that the will of the voters was honored." Good for him. Mr. Foley and the rest of the state's voters have plenty of reasons to question a reported tally that now shows Democrat Dannel Malloy ahead by fewer than 6,000 votes out of more than 1.1 million cast.

Specifically, Connecticut voters deserve a more thorough accounting of the votes in Bridgeport, and of the bizarre behavior of Susan Bysiewicz, the secretary of state. In Bridgeport, where the Hartford Courant has noted a disturbing recent history of voting irregularities, the registrar's office had not printed enough ballots before voting began, so workers were dispatched to city offices on Election Day to photocopy blank ballots, raising questions about the custody of ballots created on the fly.

On Wednesday, Bridgeport missed its statutory deadline to report results, and then on Thursday officials there produced a bag containing hundreds of ballots that had not previously been counted. Over Republican objections, the new ballots were added to the tally. The current count in that city shows Mr. Foley receiving fewer than half as many votes as the GOP candidate received in 2006, while Democratic votes increased by almost 60%. Mr. Foley was leading by 8,409 votes before the Bridgeport votes were counted.

Jason McCoy, the Republican mayor of Vernon, Connecticut, told WFSB-TV in Hartford that he served as a poll-watcher in Bridgeport on Election Day and observed people voting without identification, voters receiving more than one ballot, and ballots left unsecured at the polling place.

This should result in jail time. Of course, nothing will happen. When it comes to voting systems, we’re little better than a third-world ****hole.

He didn't report this? This is like a security guard at a bank sitting back and watching a robbery unfold.

So in 2006, during a Dem year, the GOP candidate got 50% more votes than Foley did, in what was a GOP tsunami? Yeah. Right.

Good for him! Even if there was no unintentional vote fraud, the half-arsed way the voting process and ballots were handled IMHO is enough to taint the integrity of the outcome.

And neither will stop until someone successfully challenges it.

Obvious fake ballots.

This is the damning statement, this has all the OBVIOUS signs of voter fraud, this has to be investigated

Have the Republicans ever won in a tight race/recount, except for Bush?

In a tight race, the Dems always win by finding votes, rigging the machine, etc.

They have this cheating thing down to a science!

I've called my elected Republicans since the Bush Gore fiasco telling them that they have to tighten up the election procedures. As you know they haven't done a thing. The stolen Al Franken Senate seat enabled the horrific ObamaCare with a filibuster proof Democrat Senate.

While the Democrats play to win and for keeps, the Republicans are seemingly happy with scraps from the Democrats table.

Fox News over WSAUam 550 (Wausau Cent WI) reported at 6pm CDT Foley as well as Bradley (Gov IL) both conceded.

Hartford Courant online says Foley has not conceded as of now.

It is believable that the Demo vote was much smaller in 2006 because Gov Rell was phenomenally popular. Her opponent then, John Destefano, had very high negative ratings. So it is surprising that the GOP vote would drop this year but the dynamics are there to support that.

Incorrect information.
As far as I know, checking CT papers on line and CT Capitol Report and watching Foley speaking at 6 p.m. EDT, Foley has not conceded. Also the SOS Bysiewicz had a news conference scheduled for 6:00 p.m. EDT and cancelled.
Strange....

In the Bush/Gore election situation, true conservatives got out and DEMONSTRATED, on state capitol malls, in front of the VP residence demanding that Gore get out of Cheney’s house, Tea Party style; stood toe to toe facing Gore and demanding that he stop the nonsense. My husband even did it, and he’d never done that. When the Democrats sequestered themselves with the “hanging chads” in backrooms at the polling place in Florida, conservatives stormed the door of the locked room where the Dems were sequestered intending to do as they wished with the ballots.
The MSM tried to cast us as stupid and out of our place, but we just stood our ground.

Notice since Tuesday, any election that’s a tie, the GOP loses.

We NEVER win any of the close calls, which is statistically ridiculous.

This is the latest I have after the numbers released:

“Republican gubernatorial candidate Tom Foley was not impressed with the release of the official vote totals in the governor’s race Friday night - saying he was not conceding and does not trust the numbers of Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz.

“Nothing’s changed by her publication of these numbers,’’ Foley told Capitol Watch in an exclusive interview. “We’re not going to take her word for it. Let me put it that way.’’

He added, “We’re not conceding on the basis of her numbers. We don’t have confidence in her numbers, based on what’s happened. ... I don’t want to agree with her numbers and take her word for it.’’

Actually, it’s like a passerby turned away by the security guards...

You have no standing there, it’s a naked fraud from the position of force.
