How else is she supposed to answer?

Exactly. I have seen other such examples lately in news stories that get posted here on FR: A reporter asks a political figure a question that they would be insane to answer any way other than by a denial, then it becomes a big news item that "So and so says she will not be doing such and so."

How often do politicos deny wanting to run, vow not to run and then announce they’re running? Can’t trust a thing she says about 2012.

In case anyone is tempted to believe her [I know you don’t]:
She had no intention of running for the senate
She was honored to represent New Yorkers in the senate and had no intention of running in 2008

She said she wasn’t running. That does not begin to touch her real aspirations though does it.

I don’t know what she means by this. I do know I don’t trust either Clinton as far as I could throw them. Nor do I believe much of what they say, it’s all so nuanced as to be meaningless.

Just a bunch of Blah blah blah to an overseas media.

Rabbit trail to divert criticism and private investigations until she declares her candidacy at the last minute.

“I was happy and content doing the job of Secretary of State but feel strongly I am the most qualified candidate for President to lead our nation out of this depression”

BS, she said she wouldn’t run for president when she was a NYS senator as well.

You can tell when she lies, her lips move

Not exactly. What was actually asked was:

While in New Zealand as part of a two-week Asia-Pacific tour, a reporter on Friday asked Clinton whether she had ruled out running for the presidency through 2016, according to the Associated Press.

Normally when you see an article title such as Job Outlook for Teachers Through 2016, you will find between 2006 and 2016 explicitly stated somewhere in the article. That was not what Clinton was asked or responded to. You could easily read this as Clinton ruling out the year 2016 only.

She can NOT run on 2012 because there is a Democrat President up for reelection and because he is black.

I don't think they could pay her enough to play VP unless Biden is given a stoke or accidentally dies.

She may want to run in 2016, but she will be 102 by then.

Plans change. Especially since Obama, Reid and Pelosi are still the face and voice of the Democrat party.

Running Hill's statement through Bubbafish, I get:

she has no plans to challenge Barack Obama for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2012.
Her plans are to make sure 0bama decides "on his own" not to run in 2012.
The U.S, said Clinton, “should be” ready for its first female President, but it won’t be her.
Because everyone knows that America's first girl president was Jimmy Carter.

Yes, there it is, until/unless she is ‘drafted’ for the ‘good of the party/country.’

I’ll wait longer before banking on her “no 2012” stance.

Weird. I ran that one through again, and just got a photo:

“I’m very pleased to be doing what I’m doing as secretary of state,” the former First Lady said.

Yeah, right up until the point that she gets canned or resigns within the next year!

I totally agree. If there’s one thing we can all count on, it’s that when someone named Clinton says something, it is 100% true.
