Stay put is fine, if you wish to allow California to remain in the wrong camp. It’s much too precious to allow that.

I think Dennis would agree with you, except that if you own a business, California taxes and regulations are pretty scary. And one way to punish leftist economic policies is for businesses to walk away. None of us wants Cal. to remain miserable, but I would hope that economic reality would make voters want to change course.

What inspired Dennis to say that was the SF board of supervisors said the principle behind the Happy Meal toy regulation was "food justice!"

On point, I agree with him. I’m just not convinced that surrendering the state of California is a good idea. I look at the price paid for our homeland, and even one death is too high a price to surrender California or any other chunk.

This isn’t meant to be argumentative. We share the same ideals.

One more thing that bothers me, is that small business owners don’t descend on Sacramento, reminding the state leadership how many businesses they are screwing, and how many employees the small businesses employ.

The state leadership is terrified of losing union support. It’s time to let them know that small businesses employ many people who are not benefiting from the state leadership’s decisions focused on small businesses.
