Oh, that’s right, he was running for the Senate for a few months there. I had plumb forgotten about that. $1 million is a nice little nest egg for a Senate run in a cheap advertising state like Nebraska.

I have no problem with Bruning, and he may well be our strongest candidate to take on Nelson now that Heineman is out, but part of me would love to see Jeff Fortenberry in the U.S. Senate.

Took me a few seconds to catch your “AuH20”. Duh. I like it.

I worked in PR for a New Mexico college for a couple of years. In the 2000 election, a professor wore a huge black and gold “Goldwater” button. It was worth it to follow him around to see the hostile reaction of his peers and the looks of puzzlement on the faces of students who had no idea who Goldwater was.

Too bad, Heineman may have scare him into retirement.

We don’t need him to beat Nelson though.
