Were it not for Palin, McVain would have been humiliated at the polls, not just defeated.

There are a dozen other Republican choices who would have at least brought the same exact numbers. This is not a good argument to proceed into. If you asked me about the timing of this...Palin would have been better off without the national stage until 2012 and she’d have more accomplishments to talk about as governor of Alaska. In this case, Bush is absolutely right.

My thoughts exactly! She’s the only thing that saved him from looking like a complete loser and has-been.

Bingo!

Palin energized McLaime’s campaign!

The only one unqualified be POTUS was the winner...who is a psychological head case.

IMHO McCain used Palin as a fund raiser for his reelection to the senate in this 2010 election. He sure didn't spend the money on his run for the presidency.

She had positive appeal to a segment of voters. McCain’s actual campaign however was awful. As far as Palin being qualified, all he needed to do was speak plainly and clearly about the Zero’s qualifications(or lack thereof).

McCain should have thrown PC under the bus. But it was a different time and place 2 years ago.

I think now PC can be disregarded. Look at Paladino in New York, if he had one more brain cell than a cow he could have won.

Conversely, if it weren't for McCain we would have never heard of Sarah Palin.

After reading most of this thread, the infighting of the GOP has already started!

It's less than 2 years from the 2012 elections. We better get united rather than divided or we will see Obama reelected.

Obama didn't seem particularly upset with the losses in Congress. He has been working on his reelection since his nomination. Watch out for the Trojan Horse!

You are correct. On the other hand, whoever Mc Cain picked, would have been deem unqualified by the media.

I suppose that President bush, if he said that, which I doubt until I hear it from his mouth, he forgot about how the media ripped his choice of Chenny as VP.
