Ex-President George W. Bush rips wisdom of Barack Obama, Sarah Palin and John McCain to friends
WASHINGTON - Two years of retirement haven't dulled George W. Bush's political zest - and President Obama and Sarah Palin are among his under-the-radar targets.
The 43rd President has told friends the ex-Alaska governor isn't qualified to be President and criticizes Arizona Sen. John McCain for putting Palin on the 2008 GOP ticket and handing her a national platform.
"Naming Palin makes Bush think less of McCain as a man," a Republican official familiar with Bush's thinking told the Daily News.
"He thinks McCain ran a lousy campaign with an unqualified running mate and destroyed any chance of winning by picking Palin."

I just think it’s a mistake to constantly compare Palin to Obama....sets the standard low...and she is above that. It brings her down rather than the “stand alone” that she is. Obama’s a failure.....and he will continue to be.
Doubt it - he wouldnt rip a piece of paper or his worst enemies behind closed doors. The unnamed source is probably the author.
Bingo! Rove is on a mission to take out as many conservatives as he can before primary season.
It is not plausible that Bush would say this.
If it is a lie... then Bush had better say so loudly and damned soon... or it will be true... because in politics... perception is reality. My bet is that he did say it and with Lauras epiphany that she is a pro abort liberal... nothing about the Bushs would surprise me. We shall see... tick tick tick.Excellent point.
If Bush DIDN'T say all these things then he better come out -- today, tomorrow, next day -- and SAY he didn't say these things.
If he doesn't, it means he SAID all these things.
Jorge, the ball is in your court...
Absolutely 100% dead on... he denies this quickly or he said it... no question.

“Much like the 10 years+ of trashing President Bush, which continues unabated here at FR”
If you would look outside that box you’re in, you would know why.
The last several Presidents are nothing more than puppets for the Globalist Oligarchy.
I call B.S. Huge stinking pile.
Bush was a big government Republican who became consumed with keeping our country safe. If he thinks less of McCain, I’d ask, what took him so long.
Seems nobody believes the official spokesman, but everybody trusts an unidentified source. Go figure.
Caution: the label on the box does not match the product inside.
This article is BS, because an OPRAH clip on Fox and Friends was just released, that showed Pres Bush wouldn’t even comment on Obama or qualify Palin. He said “he wasn’t getting back into the swamp of politics” even though Oprah pushed him. It airs Tuesday next week.
I would like to hear Bush’s reasons for his low regard for Palin. Her role as McCain’s running mate is ancient history. Palin’s major accomplishment more recently is making the Tea Party, or the spirit of the Tea Party, a major political force.
This is hard to believe; but I don’t understand the Bushes being friends with that rapist, Bill Clinton.
LOLOL.......a person familiar with Bush’s thinking.
Is there any doubt that Dubya could not possibly think less of McCain considering the way the so called maverick acted during Bush’s eight years in office.
As if the fact that McCain wanted to be jon carry’s veep and run AGAINST Bush I doubt this story has an iota of truth.
I would also think Bush would distrust a man like McCain who consistently turns on voters and the way McCain became the Republican candidate.
“The 43rd President has told friends the ex-Alaska governor isn’t qualified to be President”
Gotta part with Bush on this one. Sarah Palin is the sharpest human being in the political sphere, and she is more and better experienced than all her adversaries and critics and she calls ‘em as accurately as Rush Limbaugh calls ‘em. THAY’S ACCURATE!!!.
George Bush didn’t clean the corruption out of government during his term and subdue the giant oil companies like a trainer cracking the whip at the big tigers.
Oh, George, when you’re wrong, you’re REALLY BIG TIME WRONG!
Durn typos!
Guess you didn’t care about being safe from another terror attack during Dubya’s terms in office.
Ingrate.
From the guy who ran the economy into the ditch.
You telling us the man who picked Harriet Miers is finding fault with Sarah Palin?
I’ll believe it when W says it on videotape.
Seems this is an effort to depress book sales.
