Bag of uncounted votes found in Nueces County (South Texas)

BROWNSVILLE — For a short while Thursday, hope was alive for U.S. Rep. Solomon Ortiz that his stunning District 27 loss could be reversed after a bag of uncounted ballots turned up in Nueces County. Then the votes were counted — all seven in his favor.

Though not enough to make much of a dent in the 799-vote lead his Republican challenger Blake Farenthold has, the Ortiz camp maintains the bag is just one of many voting problems coming to light since Tuesday's election.

Ortiz, who has 28 years in Congress and has never lost an election, has not conceded the loss to Farenthold.

“We're receiving as the days go by more and more reports of irregularities, discrepancies, issues arising at precincts throughout the district,” said Ortiz spokesman Jose Borjon. “Today is a great indication that this race is not over.”

The bag, found by an elections worker at the Nueces County Courthouse, held emergency ballots filled out during a power failure at an early voting location in Robstown, Borjon said. The bag was opened and counted around 4 p.m. Thursday.

Unofficial election results showed the tea party-backed Farenthold capturing a 799-vote lead thanks to strong support in the Coastal Bend.

Ortiz on Wednesday said lawyers were investigating one Corpus Christi-area voting site that stayed open almost an hour late, as well as the power failure.

But Borjon's announcement of the found bag, sent via e-mail about 3:30 p.m., for about an hour had political scientists as well as the Farenthold campaign wondering if this would be another Election Day tale for the annals of South Texas election history.

“This smacks of Box 13 politics,” said Farenthold campaign spokesman Steve Ray, referring to the stuffed box found in Jim Wells County in the days of infamous South Texas political boss George Parr. The votes in the box gave Lyndon B. Johnson a 200-vote advantage in the 1948 primary for U.S. Senate.

“From bags to boxes, this is South Texas politics at its best,” quipped University of Texas-Pan American political scientist Jerry Polinard. “Maybe we need to put a number on the bag?”

Said Cal Jillson, of Southern Methodist University: “Texans have to smile when votes are discovered and rushed forward late in the day when a candidate is down by not many votes. It would be a rare thing in our day for a congressman to rush forward with votes that did him no good.

“This is a serious matter because voters have every right to expect their votes to be counted,” Jillson added. “But there's no reason not to get the entertainment value out of a political situation when it's available.”

My parents were poll watchers in that same precinct twelve years later in 1960.

A 'rat can believe he lost this election cycle? Or he was expected to win but can't find the 'bag'. Nothing new under the sun.

Certainly, a Democrat can find another 114 boxes of uncounted ballots containing 7 votes in his favor in all of them.

What are the odds that all 7 ballots in a bag would favour the same candidate?

What is with these rat bastard dems??
First CT finds a bag of uncounted votes, Illinois is always finding a box or bag.

Now Texas, these politicians should be hung from the nearest tree light pole or cross arm for messing with elections this way.

One of these days....... people will finally get fed up and take matters into their own hands

Perhaps I misunderstood because of awkward sentence structure, but are the Democrats actually investigating a power failure?

It's a small sample size, so it isn't that much of a surprise.

That said, it still has a hint of a stench of fraud.

Only 7 votes. Sounds like an honest mistake; a Cheaties episode would have at least several hundred Ortiz votes, IMO.

“This smacks of Box 13 politics,”

There were 201 votes cast in box 13, 1 for Stevenson and 200 for LBJ. It gets better than that, the names were in ALPHABETICAL order!

This is one of the MANY reasons that many of us know with absolute certainty that LBJ was the leader of the coup that killed Kennedy. Polls now show that approximately 20% of Americans believe that LBJ was behind the killing. Add in the fact that polls since the assassination have shown between 50% and 80% believe that there was a conspiracy to kill Kennedy.

Why shouldn't they find hundreds more today electing the DEMOCRAT? LBJ did it and they are still lying to hide the obvious truth.

What are the odds BOX 13 was legitimate? About the same as Oswald firing three shots and killing Kennedy without assistance.

Maybe you have a small bag for when you need a few more votes and you have one or more larger bags when more is needed. ‘Discovering’ the big bag(s) might be too obvious so they ‘out’ the small bag first (aw - not enough) and then out the bigger stash next time? *adjusting tinfoil to avoid WIFII interference*

There were 201 votes cast in box 13, 1 for Stevenson and 200 for LBJ. It gets better than that, the names were in ALPHABETICAL order!

And if I remember correctly, every entry in the voter log was signed in the same handwriting.

And the names came from a nearby cemetary.

And when the impounded ballot box was finally opened by the court, it was full of newspaper clippings.

After all of that, the election still wasn't invalidated. It was a Democrat primary, so it was up to the party to decide. And when the matter was appealed to a court, the judge declined to intervene.

Don't forget that this was back in an era when winning the Democrat primary was all you needed to do: no Republican held any significant offices in Texas. At one point, I think the entire legislature was Democrat except for one person.

I wish I could find an article I read a few years back. The author had a chance to do a rare interview with LBJ on his ranch after he retired, and he noticed a picture in a frame on a table -- with LBJ and two other men. The interviewer recognized one of them (I think it was George Parr), but not the other one. When the interviewer asked LBJ about the picture, he just smiled and said nothing.

Years later, after LBJ passed away, the election judge for box 13 publicly announced that he stuffed the ballot box for LBJ, at the direction of George Parr. You might remember it: it was in the late 70's. The guy wanted to clear his conscience, and everyone else involved in the scam was dead.

The author saw a photo of the election judge, and recognized him: it was the unknown guy in the picture at LBJ's ranch.

I had always wondered how involved LBJ was in the Box 13 fraud. If that picture really exists, he might not been involved at the time, but he certainly knew what had happened.

BOX 13; Same handwriting, alphabetical order, 200 for LBJ, one for Stevenson.

Of course it gets even better than that. On the 40th anniversary of LBJ’s coup, the HISTORY CHANNEL aired another 3 hours of the MEN WHO KILLED KENNEDY. There were some significant clues to how LBJ pulled this off. The show was on two days before it and the other two hours were PULLED and BURIED!

When you read this article ABOUT one of the show’s topics, pay particular attention to Malcolm Wallace’s story. Wallace’s fingerprint was found in the shooter’s nest on the 6th floor, if Wallace was there, then that is an obvious tie to LBJ. The FINGERPRINT EXPERT says Wallace was there.

The FBI and other suckups to the big lie say the fingerprint is NOT Wallace’s. This is just one more nail in the liars coffin

So what is really going on? In 1978 the HSCA had overwhelming evidence there was a conspiracy. So what happened? They found a pile of PhD’s who had no idea what they were talking about and they said it is overwhelming that the evidence is NOT VALID. REALLY? Every time something significant is found the US Government finds idiots who say this can’t be right. They love medical doctors because these clowns have no education outside prescribing drugs, saying it another way, they are functional idiots outside their field.

So what is the bottom line? LBJ and Hoover led the coup with a pile of people supporting the murder. It is very simple to connect the dots to LBJ and Hoover but Americans, being the biggest collective pile of idiots in history, still think the US Government is GOING TO TELL THEM THE TRUTH.

There are people still in high places that could find themselves in jail for the murder of JFK. Once they learned how to pull this off, having a clown like Obama play President is easy, relatively speaking.

http://www.viewzone.com/lbj/indexx.html

I say these things are facts not because of what Barr McClellan published or this linked article, I say it because of overwhelming proof that has not yet been published. You and others are going to kick yourselves when you find out how simple it is to know the truth.
