There was election drama in Connecticut on Thursday.
Two days after residents cast their votes, theyre still waiting for word on who will be their next governor. Connecticuts secretary of state said she cant tell the media who the next governor is, even though she did just that unofficially on Wednesday.
Susan Bysiewicz, a Democrat, unofficially declared Democrat Dan Malloy the likely governor-elect on the day after the election, but now, it seems, vote tally snags in Bridgeport is preventing her verifying her own prediction.
She spoke with CBS 2s Lou Young in Hartford on Thursday afternoon.
The numbers that we got yesterday were numbers that were given to us by an election official over the phone, but we do not have the returns, Bysiewicz said. We are waiting as you are and I dont have anything really more to add.
When she was asked if she was advising the media to forget about what she said Wednesday about the numbers from Bridgeport, Bysiewicz said, I am reminding you that I gave you unofficial numbers. Our numbers are on our Web site, but I cannot compel Bridgeport to prepare their return and give it to us.
So, officially, Republican Tom Foley is ahead by 8,400 votes, but Bridgeport, the largest city in the state, is expected to erase that lead.

That would be the smell Obama left behind him last Saturday. Sulfur, maybe?
Lawdy. Then, hopefully, there will be an investigation into the SOS and his ‘connection’.
This makes me sick beyond belief.
You can rest assured that the vote-generation equipment originally in MN, and then moved to NV, has now arrived in CT.
Actually, I am in Georgia. I moved away from the crooks.
This place makes me sick.
Due to recent personal changes, I’d get out of here if I were
20 years younger or financially able.
My relatives are nice folks, but they are all Democrats since Kennedy and they all got some money. The church mouse is the only Conservative.
Photocopied ballots? 10-15% PROVISIONAL ballots cast on election day?
Sheesh. This one is over the top.
There has to be a record of how many ballots were shipped in at the beginning.
Then we’ll eventually get the count.
If the total count is anywhere close to the amount shipped in originally, then the claim of running out is suspect and is probable cause for an investigation.
Usually the “we ran out” cry means that several thousand were diverted.
And ANY ballots showing up outside chain-of-custody is probable cause.
These events, though, always benefit a Dem, and the entire area from dogcatcher to AG is in Dem hands, so it’s unlikely that a democrat AG will make a fuss.
This is VOTER FRAUD, pure and simple!
Check it out:
Al Franken’s theft was pretty brazen as well.
We've heard the exact same sentence in Minnesota in 2008 and Washington in 2006.
Just curious. Is Sue one of the Soros-boughten Secretaries of State?
She doesn’t have the returns? She got the original info over the phone and ran with it? Now she doesn’t have the returns to substantiate what she was told? Where are the returns? Doesn’t CT have electronic pathways to manage these things? Why is it that every other state managed to get its returns into the SOS? If CT has no electronic infrastructure to handle elections, is it so vast in size that it takes DAYS to transfer the returns to the SOS?
Is anybody doing anything about this woman?
Are you serious? They actually photocopied ballots? And the ballots aren’t numbered?
this is too blatant to believe, but the vicious corrupt Demagogues will stoop to anything
so CT is now some 3rd World Hugo Chavez cesspool of fraud?
or it’s always been this way and the spotlight just happens to shine on it right now?
“When she was asked if she was advising the media to forget about what she said Wednesday about the numbers from Bridgeport, Bysiewicz said, I am reminding you that I gave you unofficial numbers.”
Did she care to think about how stooopid that was? Clearly not.
Funny how the cities are always the last to report - same thing in Seattle.
Why so slow???
