Can Barack Obama pull a Bill Clinton?
Politico ^ | 11/4/10 | John F. Harris

A young Democratic president comes into office with big ambitions, gets knocked back on his heels by Republicans in the midterm elections, then makes some deft moves to recapture the center and waltzes to reelection two years later. It sounds easy enough. And after Tuesday night’s humiliation, it must sound tempting to President Barack Obama and his battered political team. (Snip) But the widespread speculation that what Obama needs to do now is simply “pull a Clinton” —replicating Bill Clinton’s comeback after being trounced by Newt Gingrich in 1994 — grossly underestimates the challenge that Obama faces

Widely known in intern circles, Camels are far less satisfying than Cubans.

As much as I hate to say it, Kartoon was a much better President then this POS. And Kartoon was not a vindictive, thinned-skinned, narcissistic A****

While Clinton was arrogant, he also knew how to schmooze whereas Obama is just plain narcissistic and won’t back down. His press conference on Wednesday is evidence of that. After having his a$$ handed to him, he presumes to tell the Republicans that they’re going to have to get along with him.

CAn Obama pull a Bill Clinton on us? Why not? He’s pulled a national “Monica Lewinsky” on America for two years.

Nothing illegal, immoral or treasonous is beyond O’s ethics.

Nope, he's a ideological, elitist, racist. Plus the ‘Toon had a favorable economy. There will be no compromises with Socialists like Soetoro.

Bill was a coniving, soul-less, scoundrel. He was MUCH better qualified to be President. You can't compare Bama and Billy Jeff. You can't even compare Bama and the Peanut man, except to make Carter look good.

And even Carter was clueful enough to screw us long-term with the no recycle nuclear material rule.

Bama is a piker. Loser. No, he's not that good. He's a wanna-be loser. He couldn't make it on the Olympic spear-catching team.

Given the conundrum of pouring pi$$ out of a boot, he would have to ask what a heel was, and why directions were written there.

He's past lame. He's what burned toast becomes after 10 million years on the counter.

But I'd still catch a bullet for the man that holds the office. But I can think of smarter men to put my life on the line for... PeeWee Herman comes to mind.

Clinton had executive experience, and was humbled early by a election loss. He knew when to give in to the public mood, with the help of Dick Morris.

O=zero has no experience, just a boatload of arrogance. His only support is from the loony left, who feel he isn't socialist enough. He has nowhere to go.

Enter Hillary in 2012.

He Could...But he won’t. He’s been too indoctrinated with Leftist Commie lies to ever moderate his views. It’s sad that in the last 2 years of his term he will continue to try the same failed economic policies and sadly he will NEVER understand why they fail! I feel bad that Obama will Never understand that America is the Greatest Country on Earth.......He should talk to Marco Rubio.

Not in his radical nature!

BO is about destroying America, not “fixing” anything.

He’ll talk about “compromise” which means he’ll give you an opportunity to sell your soul.

1994 was a far different time than 2010. There was low unemployment and a rising GDP. Americans were optimistic towards the future. Innovations such as email and this wonderful, exciting new place known as the "World Wide Web" were starting to creep into our lives, leading to a feeling that great things were just around the corner. The Republican Congress of 1994 was elected in part to keep Clinton from screwing things up. It worked. They pulled Clinton towards the center, allowing him to take credit for the good times and coast easily to reelection two years later (with the help of a third-party candidate, of course).

Americans are not so optimistic today. People are scared and anxious. I don't see Obama enjoying the success that Clinton did. For the sake of our country, I hope I'm wrong. I'd love to see this Republican Congress help Obama usher in a new era of prosperity and optimism. I just don't see this happening.

"....gets knocked back on his heels by Republicans in the midterm elections."

I know this historically how elections are remembered, but this time 'We the People' knocked him down. Yes, we used the Republicans as our tool to do so, but it wasn't a normal election.
