Said he never ran for anything, but was indeed thinking about a run for the President.

Good man, but not likable enough to be elected POTUS
Most likable guy wins (or gal). Comes off as tough,
mean - but not the kind of guy you’d like to go on
a float trip with...

I think the American people are now looking for competence, even if he may come across as “tough”.

He doesn’t really have the personality to be a serious presidential candidate IMO. He would make a heck of a Sec of State though.

Bolton couldn’t lead a dog to raw meat. Talented man, just not a leader of people.

John Bolton would be welcome addition to the debate. Americans are basically clueless about the threats lurking in the world.

Foreign policy may be the #1 issue of 2012 because as bad as obamacare, stimulus, etc are, they are nothing compared to the prospect of a nuclear armed Iran.

It sounds like somebody is letting the leftists define reality for them.

He probably can’t win but he’d be a great guy to be around in debates to keep the rest of them honest and the visibility would move him in line for a key position. If the Republican wins the Presidency the Senate should go our way too so his confirmation to something important would be doable.

Tracking down everything Obama stole or sold, scammed, subverted, railroaded, or pinched when he scrammed to India might be a good job for Bolton.

We all know how good he is at finding things...........

Bolton is "the perfect conservative". And a foreign policy genius to boot.

However - he was asked, quite seriously, to run in 2008. He flatly refused. Had too much other stuff to do, even though his own people wanted him to run as much as all the rest who were pushing. Mesta has all the details, I have only some. The point is, he could have stopped Obama and didn't.

Palin/Bolton would be a dream ticket, though.

No disrespect to Mr. Bolton, but if he wants to be considered for the Presidency he should run for and win a seat at some other level of government first.
