To put it in perspective, 1994s GOP wave picked up 472 seats.
Too bad gerrymandering/packing doesn’t help the Senate races.
In a sense, this is even better news than the House gains.
Real change will come at the state and local levels.
A return to Federalism starts with the states
Wow, they must have made gains in all 57 states.
I am not sure how we get to 2012. The country is broke and going broke faster.
He does not care - he is spending $200 million a day to go to India plus the US Navy.
Awesome stuff. People are getting involved and running. And winning. : )
The good news is that this came in the year 2010 a redistricting year. The 1994 wave was not in a redstricting year and gave the RATS a chance to improve their prospects. Not this time around. Hahahahahahahaha.
How do you put on the brakes when you’ve already driven off the cliff?
Let's just repeal the 17th amendment and give the power back to the state legislatures we just elected.
Let’s not.
The Obama/Reid/Pelosi agenda decimated the Democrat party and it is not over. We will gain more House and Senate seats plus the Presidency in 2012. Now let’s get to work team!
Exactly. He does not care. This trip to India is a major FU to us. I said before he was installed in the coup that he is Mugabe.
Most American TV idiots think Mugabe was a forward for the San Antonio Spurs or some horsesh*t meaningless sports team. Americans traded their liberty for a TV clicker.
Gold and silvery are soaring because people are betting that the US will be bankrupt. I am thinking 2011 will be a very bad year.
Power is evolving back to the states where it belongs.
How many states, besides California, have unified control of the legislature by the rats?
“Too bad gerrymandering/packing doesnt help the Senate races.”
State elected folks are key for get out the vote and the ground game.
2011 State legislature election:
Dems hold both chambers in Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey
Dems control state senate in Virginia
Dem U.S. Senators up for reelection in N.J. and Va. in 2012, and Obama won both those states in 2008
Start prepping for 2012...target N.J. and Va. in 2011!!
We actually didn't do to bad on the Senate races, if the information was correct that I saw on FR we actually won more seats statistically in the senate then we did in the house.
In the Texas state house the GOP picked up 22 new seats for a total of 99 out of 150. The state senate remained 19 - 12 GOP.
Weren’t there posts yesterday saying the Republicans had picked up 1,000 seats?
Making the US Senate beholden to the States would help bring balance back to the system.
Many of the "10th Ammendment" issues we hear about today could be driven at the Federal level by the US Senate, instead of lawsuits like in the AZ law situation today.
