The Unions here know that the rest of US will cover any debt the DNC incurrs.
With 55 Electorals, California can match the Fed debt and still get covered.
The rest of the nation would do well to help the GOP here.
As a California resident, I'm not at all surprised that Boxer was returned to the Senate.
I'm a little stupefied that Brown was given another shot as Governor.
I'm absolutely disgusted that Kamala Harris just may become this state's next Attorney General.
They will have a hard time getting funding from the House.
California is quite a bit past bankruptcy at this point. The state has issued IOUs for tax refunds for two years running, they are issuing IOUs to vendors when they can and their tax base continues to shrink while the size their Entitlement Transfer Payment obligations continues to rise exponentially.
California is a failed experiment in Left Wing government, irresponsible spending and destructive social policies.
The state has been insolvent for the last two years and at some point in the near future California will begin to default on it’s payments unless bailed out.
The saying “California leads the way and as goes California, so goes the country” so the rest of the country can learn from the mistakes that led to failure of the California experiment.
California really needs to lead the way in downsizing government and reducing entitlement spending and astronomical, out of control state public employee compensation.
This will not happen under Gov. Brown, so expect a push for a bail out with threats that a California melt down will take the rest of the country with it unless we bail them out .
This could become a game changer for the GOP if they fall for this. No bailouts for states. If you live foolishly then figure out how to solve it. At least here in Michigan we finally came to our senses and elected a business man.
If the Federal Government bails out CA does that mean that they will have to compete for ads on MSNBC with GM?
As a native Californian, I must say I am dazzled by the stupidity of my fellow Californians. My tag line has never been more true.
It’s time to get out of CAli. I think it’s finally gone beyond fixing.
Reagan by far was the better boss. He treated Dale with courtesy and respect. Gov. Moonbeam basically ignored his CHP security detail - it was the silent treatment - not much conversation.
OH COOL he probably told his CHP security guard good Hollywood stories back in da day
