They’ve got no excuses and nobody else to blame. The State belongs to the Democrats. If it falls into the ocean, then they can’t blame anybody but themselves.

We’ve had huge budget deficits for a few years now and all the easy cuts have been made. Brown will be faced with having to choose impossibly hard cuts.

Poetic justice. Brown cause our biggest problem by letting the government unions take root during his previous administration. Now let him reap what he sowed in the 70's.

there is nothing to stop the Donkeys from raising taxes as much as they want

I don't think they can raise taxes (can they?), they can just spend more ... so they're on their way to bankruptcy ...

Passage of Prop 25 is death for CA.

The brain-dead??? illegals, worthless unions workers, generational welfare cases, unions school workers...

Brown is irrelevant... The dude’s brain is gone..way too much acid and pot...he can barely communicate..

With the passage of prop. 25 it won’t matter much who sits in the governor’s seat. The legislature is completely dominated by leftists and will now be able to ram through any idiot tax or spending increase that it wants to. And it will override a veto from a rat as quickly as it will a republican. Most of the insanity in the state government resides in the legislature and we are going to watch it in its full “glory” very soon.

Exactly. I see no reason to stop them. They now own California and can’t blame their policies on an obstructionist GOP minority. They will be responsible for what happens which will be calamitous.

If you loved Obama’s America, you’ll adore what California is fast becoming.

If you can smoke it, drink it, eat it, drive it the Donkeys will tax it. I can see the Car Tax, personal property tax on autos, tripling early next year.

Maybe Moonbeam will surprise us, too.

Yeah, as horrendous as he was as governor last time, just look at the great job he did as mayor of Oakland. </sarcasm>

The only surprises that I expect are bad ones. After having lived here for over forty years, I was a bit surprised to find myself considering bailing on this place for the first time.

Eh. We lost the battles of California and Massachussetts, but we made some good strides to save the other 48 states. This Texan is willing to sacrifice those two states to the liberals if they’ll keep their hands off the other ones.

“Maybe can get the Mexicans to annex the place.”

Then who would fund the federal government? While we are screwed and have nobody to blame but ourselves, please keep in mind CA has a massive net credit to the federal govt which in essence keeps the lights on in our ever so many welfare states.

Aren’t I though?

There comes a point where I can no longer feel sorry for a couple of states that insist on accelerating toward a cliff. At least they’ll serve as an example of what unbridled liberalism creates ... California makes Texas look like Eden.

There’s New York which is dead broke. How those two states keep re-electing the people who put them into their situation is something I will never understand.
