More interesting are the statistics.
From: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_United_States_Senators_by_age
The top 10 oldest current senators:
Frank Lautenberg, D-NJ: 86
Daniel Inouye, D-HI: 86
Daniel Akaka, D-HI: 86
Arlen Specter, fired-PA: 80
Jim Bunning, R-KY: 79
Richard Lugar, R-IN: 78
Dianne Feinstein, D-CA: 77
Chuck Grassley, R-IA: 76
Bob Bennett, fired-UT: 77
Orrin Hatch, R-UT: 76
Note that of the top 5, one’s been fired and three are liberal Democrats who are emphatically pushing the actuarial tables there. None of the Dems on the list look like they’re holding up well.
Hanging on for dear life is the operative word there... I expect Lautenberg to keel over or resign any day now.

Why is it that we kick commercial pilots out at 61, who are ONLY responsible for 200 - 250 people ONLY when they are flying, yet we allow these dottering, drooling, old fools, (who are responsible for 300+ million), to continue?
In most cases, they’ll be replaced by Republican appointees. Harry Reid should enjoy his majority if the Democratic octogenarians serving can last the next two years.
