GOP's Bill Haslam wins governor's race

Republican and political newcomer Julia C. Hurley rode her political party’s wave to victory tonight, edging out veteran Democrat incumbent Dennis Ferguson for the 32nd House District seat. Ferguson held the seat for 18 years.

Republican Chattanooga attorney Chuck Fleischmann has won the 3rd District congressional seat.

Republicans took three Democratic seats tonight to take control of the Tennessee congressional delegation for the first time in nearly a decade.

Yea Baby!!!! Tennessee is Red as Red can be! Great night to be a Tennessean. We have picked up seats in state house also.

I am proud of my Native Tennessee. I am also proud that my Wisconsin home has a Senator I can be proud of in Ron Johnson.
