Hartford, Conn. (WTNH) - With all 23 voting precincts in Bridgeport running out of ballots, Mayor Bill Finch is asking the secretary of the state to keep the polls open until 10pm.
The John Winthrop School ran out of ballots not just once, but twice. We're told the crowd got a little rowdy and police were called in as a precaution.
It was a similar problem at Central High where they also ran out of ballots. Around 7pm, News 8's Bob Wilson says hundreds were in line waiting to cast their ballot. Some decided not to wait and left.
Also in Bridgeport, the Connecticut Post reports that a city activist took down a sign outside the Wilbur Cross Elementary polling place that read "If you can read this you can vote no matter what."
Rosa Correa says she told the moderator at the poll about the sign, but the sign was not removed. So Correa decided to take it down herself and then she brought it to police.
In New Haven, voter turnout was so high that some walked away without casting their votes, the New Haven Independent reported.
Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz says turnout so far is about average for a midterm election.
Polls will close at 8 p.m.
OK, so turnout has been average, but you've run out of ballots not once but twice? WTF?!
Who’s walking away? If I was in that line, I’d wait until July to vote.
Bring out the dead!
Blumenthal’s people are probably responsible for this.
It is not unusual to run out of provisional ballots when you have multiple people voting multiple times using multiple names. Nothing to see here. Move along.
Fox just called it for Blumenthal.
I hope one of these ‘projections’ bites them...hard. They are basing ALL of this on exit polling.

I was thinking the very same thing. I wouldn't mind seeing egg on some of their faces.
Are Connecticut voters really going to elect an Elliot Spitzer clone? They look alike and they are both lying Liberals.
Yeah right. Democrats run that state, including the elections. I wouldn’t assume anything happens by coincidence there.
The one thing a Secretary of State has to do is run
the election.
if they screw that up (and if the military don’t get their ballots)
THROW THEM OUT!
(WTNH) - With all 23 voting precincts in Bridgeport running out of ballots, a judge agreed with Mayor Bill Finch that polls should stay open until 10pm.
Polls normally close at 8pm in Connecticut.
Secretary of the State Susan Bysiewicz says election officials only ordered 21,000 ballots in Bridgeport, far short of the 69,000 registered voters in the city.

She’s on her way out. She wanted to run for Tricky Dick’s AG position until a pesky little issue about actually having to be practicing lawyer for 10 years surfaced.
This was probably her parting gift for her party and supporters.
Must have been a huge dead people turnout
It’s Bridgeport, They haven’t been taught to count yet!
I rode my motorcycle into work today. Started raining at noon. Went to the polling place cold and wet. Voted anyway.
So they Poto copy Ballots that wont go through the Scanners and Have to Hand Count them?Did they check the Car trunks of all the Democrat crooks in Bridgeport? What a Crock of Crap,Can You Say MASSIVE FRAUD
69000 registered voters in Bridgeport and they print only 21000 ballots? I believe that is called ,let everyone else vote and count their ballots so we can see how many we need to win then Go to the Copy Machine and fill up the Car trunk
This was probably her parting gift for her party and supporters.
BINGO.
I HATE Connecticut... especially today.
