KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) Missouri is guaranteed to have one new congressman. Voters are also deciding whether a few others also should also be replaced.
Longtime Democratic Rep. Ike Skelton of Lexington was facing a strong challenge from former Republican state lawmaker Vicky Hartzler. Skelton is chairman of the House Armed Services Committee and has been one of the top House targets of Republicans.

Skelton has been in office for 33 years and has got to go! He tries to pretend he's a "conservative," by occasionally voting with Republicans on some things and even voting against Obamacare, but he's right with his party on economic issues.
Turnout in the rural area where I live appears to be strong and the polling place was packed when I voted this morning.
I've seen a GAZILLION Vicky Hartzler signs and NOT A SINGLE Ike Skelton sign. Plus, Hartzler has the backing of Sarah Palin, so that was a boost.
Unseating one of the most senior Democrats in the House is gonna be so exciting!
GO VICKY, GO CONSERVATISM AND GO AMERICA!!!!!!!

I’ve lived in Missouri all my life and been following politics for the last 20 years and I don’t think I’ve ever seen any Skelton ads on television before this election. That tells me he’s hurting bad this time.
