In Merryland, early reporting -about 15% of vote in
R-Harris-52% D-Kratovil-44%
This would be a pickup for the pubs.
That district is very conservative. Kratovil NEVER should have been in there. They’ve got pitchforks and tar out on him.

...he should get recalled if he flip-flops. No re-call in WV...also, the WV GOP has NO ONE to challenge him in 2012.

As long as Republicans take the House Im a happy pony.I'm expecting Ann Marie Buerkle (R) to pick up Maffei's (D) HOuse seat in Syracuse/CNY.
She is very popular around here and her signs are everywhere.
I'm hoping for a R senate seat but that's a real toss up.
The polls close here in about 10 minutes.

Love your positive attitude! Just like Sarah just said, “there is nothing wrong with American that a good election can’t fix”

We take the House WE CONTROL the purse strings.Yep, and 45 or so in the Senate means that the dems can't do anything drastic. The fillibuster is available.

You hear anything in Vegas on the elections?
To: SE Mom
Here in Missouri, we have congressman Ike Skelton (D) in a very close race for the first time in 30 years. I would be surprised if Vicky Hartzler pulls off the win, but it is encouraging just to see him challenged.

Not to worry.... I signed up a few months ago because of tonight. If they do I’ll pop over and report how things are going.”
I wasn’t worried - I just like to savour these things! ;-)

Yeah, it sucks....but honestly, this will be a great night.
As long as we get CLOSE, we will be able to stall a lot of the agenda in the Senate.

It’s looking like a 65-75 gain in the house right now based on the data. We’ll see.
Seems like GA-2 and GA-8 will flip. GA-12 is very, very close.

>>Basically said Manchin *must* caucus with Republicans for the next two years if he wants to have any chance for reelection in 2012.
Pfffft. They'll likely make him an offer he can't refuse.
