On this week's Apple Byte, we've got a bad apple. Brian Tong shows you how to take control of any Apple iPhone running iOS 4.1. Want to listen to someone's music? See their call history, e-mails, and more? Hopefully Apple will fix this bug soon, but for now, we'll show you how. Plus, the gaming world finally takes Apple seriously; the MacBook Air brings more power than you think; and don't expect to use your iPad the way you want to anymore

Can’t be. Apple is perfect, right up there with Obama.

Every computer, software, and communications manufacture has had security issues and that is a fact. Nobody is perfect and it is up to the users of technology to realize this and take the steps to protect themselves.
The problem with security is believing the marketing people to the point that you do not pay attention.
If marketing people were always right we would all have owned a Yugo.
(For those that do not remember them, they were an imported automobile that as standard equipment had a heated rear window so that your hands did not get cold when you were pushing it.)

Sure glad I’m still using my Motorola bag phone. No security issues here.

Can’t be. Not possible. Now a Windows Mobile phone, yeah that’s the ticket.

Thanks for the post, Wooly, but it's already been reported and posted over here, on October 27th, when Intego reported it:

Intego highlights iOS 4.1 iPhone security flaw.

It's not too dangerous, so long as you keep physical custody of your iPhone. Apple is working on it.
