Like it or not, if the republicans blow it this time around, there will be a third party.

Conservative independents will abandon the GOP.

If the republicans want our support, they'd better not give us any more John “Maverick for Change” McCain's, Trent Lotts, Newt Gingrichs, and no more freakin compassionate conservatism....geez.

I agree with that.

Long ago, I joined the Libertarian Party. And I've cast a number of votes for Libertarian candidates (but not lately). I have a number of problems with the LP, and I don't see myself drifting back in that direction, but I fully agree that 2010 is the GOP's last chance.

If the Republicans don't push hard for real government reform, then I'm done with them. They will be the new Whigs, and they won't get my vote again. I'd support a third party, or else I'd stay home and wait for the inevitable shooting to start.

I don't think third party is a good choice in 2010. I'm voting straight Republican this year (as always).
But this may be the last year I'll say that.
