GOP headed for PA sweep
Pennsylvania flirted a little bit with Democrats in the final weeks of this year's election, making them think they might be able to pull off an upset in the Senate and/or Gubernatorial contests that had looked good as gone for most of the year. It looks like the GOP will in the end sweep those races though, if by smaller margins than they had shown in polling throughout much of 2010.
In the Senate race Pat Toomey leads Joe Sestak 51-46 and in the race for Governor Tom Corbett is up 52-45 on Dan Onorato. The story here is an inordinate number of Democrats unhappy with Barack Obama- and voting Republican because of it. The President's approval rating within his own party is only 73% in Pennsylvania, with 21% of Democrats disapproving of him. Those Democrats unhappy with Obama are leaning strongly Republican, planning to vote for Toomey by a 68-23 margin and for Corbett by a 69-25 spread.
What that leads to overall is 15-19% of Democrats voting Republican in these two races. Meanwhile GOP voters are extremely unified, giving each of their nominees 88%. Independents are splitting pretty evenly so it is that party unity advantage that has the GOP candidates in a position to win here.

Toomey is too conservative for Pennsylvania, we must support Arlen Specter!
LOL
What’s the background of this outfit? Are they reliable?
Wow, this is awesome news.
Some really good news out of PPP today. First Rand breaking away in Kentucky and now PA moving in our direction.
This is a Democrat pollster. Sometimes they have been dead on, other times they have been wildly off.
Translation-the pollsters did all they could to make it appear that the Democrats could win, but the truth has to be finally told.
From what I’ve read the past month about this bunch (PPP) they are liberal as hell so if they’re saying we’re up 5% in PA, we’re probably going to blow the Dims out of the water.........I can see and smell Tuesday from my sunroom......LOL
According to this poll, the GOP is doing much worse among Independents, but much better among Democrats, in Pennsylvania compared to the rest of the country.
Rove you magnificent bastard. LOL!
Bingo!
The "bitter clinger" vote.
Every conservative vote is needed to stand against the inevitable Democrat machine voter fraud .
More and more of us vote by mail. I voted a week ago.
They are reliably liberal. If PPP shows a conservative up by 6, bet he's up by 12. This is vey good news for Toomey.
Thanks. That’s what I wanted to know. It sounds like their lies about a comeback for Sestak are crumbling.
What we are seeing now from the liberal pollsters and the MSM is the truth, which they have been hiding until now. They want to retain some shred of credibility after Tuesday.

“The story here is an inordinate number of Democrats unhappy with Barack Obama- and voting Republican because of it”
Hehehehehe, snort snort, snicker snicker. On November 3rd after the dust settles we will be able to tell which pollsters were the most correct. If PPP wants any credibility they need to shape up and maybe this is what they are trying to do with this poll.
“Pennsylvania flirted a little bit with Democrats in the final weeks of this year’s election, making them think they might be able to pull off an upset in the Senate and/or Gubernatorial contests that had looked good as gone for most of the year.”
Of course. Some of these polling outfits mess with the numbers to make it seem like people are switching sides but in the end this election will be all about sending a stark message to the democrats across the country.
Was in New Hope yesterday - looked like every lawn had
signs for Sleazesuck and Murphy
Anyone know why....?
