Liberal Hecklers Won't Let Obama Speak. From today's CT rally.
bfl
Are the phrases ‘listen up’ and ‘alright, you guys’ programmed into the teleprompter or did he have to make them up all by himself?
When I think back to "between 2001 and 2008", I think of huge flat panel tv's, fancy cell phones and video games and computers, bigger and fancier houses, shiny new SUV's, granite countertops and "professional " appliances, fabulous vacations, even StartBucks Coffee. It was by far the most prosperous time this country has ever seen! It seemed like, overnight, a lot of ordinary people started making enormous salaries. Investment opportunities were rampant, the market was hitting a new high every week. (Don't post back to me and say, not you. You had to have noticed how good things were for a large part of the population.)
Yeah! What happened to ‘get in their faces!’?
Just trying to be a smart mouth -- apparently, falling short of the mark on the "smart" side.
Leftists like to change the language, to suit their purposes. In this case, they commandeered the name of a philosophy that has little or nothing to do with their actual beliefs or practices. They shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.
Here, in Canada, we have a "Liberal" party -- which swings about the middle, with the mood of the electorate. On the left, we have an actual socialist (or, as they prefer, social democrat) party. what you would call "liberal" we call "socialist".
addendum to post #20...
Also, it would be expected that you would turn slightly to the side and spit on the ground whenever you say the word “liberal”.
The bush years were incrEdible. Best years of my life.
From wikipedia: President Bush has done work to reduce the HIV/AIDS epidemics in Africa, stop the spread of Malaria, and rebuild broken nations from their genocidal pasts. One of the most notable programs initiated by Bush is the PEPFAR (President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) Program, which was a commitment of $15 billion over five years (20032008) from the United States to fight the global HIV/AIDS pandemic.[41] As of September 2007, the program estimates that it has supported the provision of antiretroviral treatment to approximately 1,445,500 people, mostly in Africa. Bush has also initiated programs that have put more than 29 million of Africa's poorest children into schools[42]. Bush has provided "huge overt support" in Liberia to stabilize the country, and increasingly effective aid and trade backing good governance have helped improve health and provide education, skills, and jobs on the continent[42]. He has also supported agricultural independence in Africa, reducing Chinese mercantilism on the continent that had been overwhelming the farmers. "Beninese" cotton farmers urged him to "stand fast on his opposition to the pork-belly politics of the farm bill that is winding its disgraceful way through Congress" on his last visit to Africa. Finally, he has been steadfast in changing the Doha round of World Trade Organization talks so it will favor the poor in Africa[42]. It has been said, from Time Magazine, that Africa is the "triumph of American foreign policy" and is the "Bush Administration's greatest achievement"
Even Obummer agrees with you. That is why he constantly tells us that we need to cut back on those items to fully appreciate his vision of America. Unemployment checks, Food Stamps and the Chevy Volt.
Stalin.
When ,”What goes around comes around “.Comes back to ya. They sure don’t like it.
I smile to myself every time I think about it
I’d suggest that to make it easier, all the groups you mentioned can just be called “Lefties’’. Saves time and they’re all the same anyway. Trust me friend, I used to be one.
Repeat as necessary.
He reminds me of the substitute teacher that you had in junior high. The students sense the lack of authority, give him/her a bad time of it, the substitute is left to only make pleas for civility which the students ignore because they have ZERO respect for the novice.
You are correct.
And the Big 0 tried to calm the young people by telling them how he was trying to fight AIDS and global warming! That isnt what theyre worried about.
I thought he was supposed to be on the Midway at the University of Chicago today. I could have walked over, but I decided not to. I see the cops are erecting all sorts of barricades on the streets near his house.
Substitue teacher - LOL! Great analogy.
