Christine O'Donnell sent out an e-mail this afternoon saying Barack Obama will be returning to Delaware on Monday in a "desperate" bid to stave off the surging O'Donnell campaign.
We just got word that Barack Obama is coming back to Delaware on Monday. Hes seen the polls and our grassroots fundraising. He is desperate to win this seat! Our campaign is on a roll and we are so close to winning. The momentum is gathering at exactly the right time.
A recent poll showed O'Donnell narrowing opponent Chris Coons' lead to almost single digits from a high of 21%. O'Donnell surged from behind to victory in her primary campaign against Rep. Mike Castle.
There are fears among Democrats that the smear job against O'Donnell by Gawker this past week will turn women voters, who have been favoring Coons, to O'Donnell in a backlash against the abuse of women in the political process seen in recent campaigns.
No details of Obama's Delaware appearance have been announced.
However it contradicts a Los Angeles Times report published last night that said Obama was not making any campaign appearances Monday because it would interfere with Democrat get out the vote efforts.
Veteran Democratic organizers say that large presidential rallies come at a price. Time spent ensuring that Obama has a sizeable audience cuts into canvassing and phone banks the essential work of juicing election day turnout. The White House said it is sensitive to this, noting that Obama won't attend any rallies on Monday, the day before the election, so as not to interfere with efforts to get Democrats to the polls.
Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity both reported yesterday that Obama was headed back to Delaware, but the e-mail by the O'Donnell campaign is the first confirmation from either campaign.

The strangest things tumble out of that man's mouth. There are photos all over the internet of him sipping on a Slurpee, repeatedly.
What kind of sense can be made out of this crap? Focus groups indicated that those photos were really damaging and he's hoping to project that image of juvenile indolence upon his opposition?
It's just weird.
I doubt if any of these conservative ladies going to the House and Senate would even mind being called "Ma'am".
“But the fist has formed and they aren’t really reporting it”
Boy, You got that right. The conventinoal wisdom has been wrong time and time again this year; the polls, which are typically off in non-Presidential years- are further off than ever. Yet people still swallow it hook, line and sinker.
I shouldn’t complain. It is a lot of fun watching their long faces on MSLSD. Theri collective depression will be deepened by their self delusion and the fact that they did not see it (the fist, that is) coming.
None of them (including Rove, Krauthammer, Tucker Carlson and the rest of the so-called intelligentsia) is ready for the “Delaware uppercut” that is going to be delivered Tuesday night.
Obamba looses it......
Next up BARKING at the bozo....

I noticed that Obama is stumping for a few today who already have a very wide lead.
I think it’s because he just wants to have stumped for someone who didn’t lose. He’s selecting very carefully with whom he appears.
“I noticed that Obama is stumping for a few today who already have a very wide lead.”
Who? In point of fact none of them have a very wide lead. Even Barney Frank is in danger. Who is he stumping with that has a very wide lead?
Take a glance at #50.
This is a whole new ball game on multiple levels and the so-called experts are completely missing it.
I'll never forget the chapter in Craig Shirley's 1980 book, "Rendezvous with Destiny" called 'Reagan Democrats', explaining the populist appeal of Ronald Reagan to ordinary, America-loving working people. I'd love to reprint it here in its entirety but I'd get in trouble...LOL.
Reagan's pollster, Dick Wirthlin, actually did some polling of the populist appeal of Reagan and found groups that crossed party lines:
"Another pro-Reagan group consisted of those who could be labeled "self-assertive." These people typically took responsibility for their actions and tended to be pro-life and pro-gun ownership. According to Wirthlin, these Reagan supporters skewed heavily Catholic, ethnic, blue-collar and Democratic."Reagan Democrats. We may see their return again sooner than I had thought thanks to Sarah Palin and the Tea Party. The pundit class will be scratching their heads again, just like 1980. :)"Rendezvous with Destiny" -- pp. 256-257
if theres 18% black population, I think theyve determined they need the black vote to win and thats why they feel safe getting obumbler there. Otherwise, if theyre depending on whites, his visit(s) would backfire.

Great Quote from Dr. Wirthlin, Al. Thanks
O’Donnell appeals to all these voters because she is “one of them”(Catholic, ethnic, blue collar, progun and prolife); Coons appeals to none of them not only because he does not share their values but because he is NOT one of them (blue blood elitist, WASP, proabortion, anti-gun).
To some extent, voting is tribal and that is not going to help Coons in DE. He is an elitist spoiled brat.
I’m not seeing it either. She deserves to win and would be great in the job, but the media kneecapped her harder than I’ve ever seen. All that remains is the question of just what percentage of DE is stupid enough to follow the lamestream media.
“if theres 18% black population, I think theyve determined they need the black vote to win and thats why they feel safe getting obumbler there.”
The black vote won’t necessarily be motivated for Coons. And there may be residual anger over what the Dems tried to do to Meek in FLA. If Coons is looking to the black vote to save him in an off year election, he is whistling past the grave yard. Louisiana has nearly twice as many black voters (about 30%) as DE and Charlie Melancon is gonna lose to a severely wounded David Vitter probably 62-38.
If this race is winnable for COD, look for a last-ditch effort to sabotage it...like the media reporting that they’ve called it for Coons, two hours before the polls close. Or even misstating the hour they close. Or any other funny business they can drum up.

Angry Obama yells BACK at hecklers... as new poll shows his own party isn't sure he should be President in 2012
There is an additional reason why O’Donnell will win. Unlike other Senate seats, whoever wins in Delaware will be seated immediately for the Lame Duck session. Everyone knows Obama and Congress have tons of things ready to ram at us during Lame Duck session.
THIS is why Obama wants to win this seat (and wouldn’t really care if someone like Reid gets defeated). If O’Donnell wins this, there can be no Lame Duck session of tearing down this country some more. But this is also being noticed by the voters.
Scott Brown won in Massachusetts, against all odds, in great part because people (even Democrats) wanted health care stopped. There is urgency to vote for O’Donnell just to stop this CURRENT insane Congress.
This reason is also highlighted right on her “contribute to the campaign” page. This could be the true cause for the intensity behind this seat, both for the voters supporting O’Donnell and why liberals are going bonkers.
I think the forces of Hillary Clinton are at work. Today’s rally for sanity was really a “rally for Hillary”. The left is knee capping Obama so they can get the hildabeast in.
Post #50 does make a lot of sense going by what Obama and Sarah are doing.
