A Surge in Democratic Spending
By MICHAEL LUO and GRIFF PALMER
Published: October 29, 2010

Groups aligned with Democratic candidates have unleashed a last-minute paroxysm of spending in competitive House races in the final days of the campaign that has them outpacing Republicans, reversing the trend of the past few months, according to an analysis of campaign finance data by The New York Times.

It appears that the groups, including the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, had been conserving their resources for the final week or two of the midterm election season, calculating that a final burst was the only way they could compete with the continuing avalanche of spending by Republican-oriented outside groups. Democratic House candidates have been outspending their Republican opponents head to head on television in the final days, as well.

The last-minute flurry of television and radio advertisements and mass mailings, however, may prove to be too little too late.

If all the ads are negative, it won’t change a single mind. The Democrats strategy is don’t vote for us - vote against the other guy.

It won’t work - you can’t beat something with nothing. Not this late in the game.

ObamaCare was their ad. Nothing can beat it - it spoke volumes.

All that stimulus money that was supposed to get them re-elected - they might as well have shoveled it into the furnace for all the difference it never made for them!

Talking louder doesn’t help much after you’re identified as a liar.

filing suit against Arizona.

You're right - another major anti American ad.

YEP, vote conservative and pray against voter fraud. It's our country and not the anti-America crowd's.

From the beginning they set themselves up because of the 'plan' they had for America. I'd say the Tea Party thwarted the best laid commie plans.

Health Scare, Back of da bus, DOJ, AZ lawsuit, Reset with Russia, Shafting GM bondholders, I Won, etc, etc.....the Left has met its Waterloo, Agincourt, Waterloo and the Somme. Hopefully they will lose any chance at power for the next 100 years. The West may yet be saved.

The list is long, no doubt. Our conservative candidate just needs to read that list and ask - do you want more of this?

The fight will be within our own party - the GOP establishment vs. We the People. May the elitist be gone, also, for 100 years.
