As Reid Falters, Schumer Subtly Stands in the Wings, The New York Times headline warns gun owners.
A perennial leading political enemy of the right to keep and bear arms, Schumers potential ascendancy to a vacated leadership slot would seem to validate NRA-ILA Executive Director Chris Coxs four words parroted by so many Fairfax apologists:
Majority Leader Chuck Schumer
Before the chorus of We told you so begins, let me just say this:
Unless all major political pundits are wrong, the House of Representatives, which the Senate needs consensus with in order to pass any bill up to the President for signature, is about to reverse polarity. The Senate itself may, as the outcome is widely regarded as a toss-up, but in any case, it appears certain an invincible majority will be denied the Senate anti-gun cabal. That is, if we can rely on all those NRA A-raters from the Democrat side of the aisle, although you couldnt tell it by the way guys like Max Baucus and Jon Tester voted to empower Eric Holder, Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan
On top of that, if the self-sidelining of NRAs Political Victory effort in Nevada enables B-rated Reid to prevail over A-rated Sharron Angle, all indications are hes got new pals anyway, and this is quite conceivably the last term hes got in him anyway
The dawn before a battle is no time to lose heart.

Minority Leader, perhaps...
Oh boy...Chuck U Shumer....as Senate Majority Leader? Ughhh. That would be horrible....The only thing that would make up for that.... President Palin and Senate Majority Leader DeMint!!
I hope so. two years of Republicans denying him whatever he wants, yeah, I am up for seeing his stress levels give him a heart attack.

America! It's about
If the Dums make this mistake, they are asking to be even further destroyed in 2012
No problem for the NRA if Schumer is the leader.
The NRA and Schumer teamed up with the Brady Campaign to get the Veterans Disbarment Bill HR 2640 passed.
“Substantively, the Leahy/McCarthy/Schumer bill, which NRA’s staff has vigorously supported without consulting with its membership, would rubber-stamp the illegal and non-statutory BATFE regulations which have already been used to strip gun rights from 110,000 veterans.”
You would think after a Political Tsunami that the Dems would go right, what makes them think another leftist kook is going to do them any good?
Never trust a guy who looks like he had a lead role in Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
Chucky seen here fresh from his starring role in Who Screwed the American People (Again!).
Senate majority leader Schumer with a one-two seat majority and Republican house. I like it. Another curse on Democrats as voters get to know Schumer as they did Pelosi.
Regards
Dick(head) Durbin could piss off a few folks too.
Communists are like cockroaches. You get rid of one and next thing you know another one comes running out.
Yes! Chucky for Leader of Schucks! I can’t wait until the whole of the American people see this joke named Upchuck Sh%t-ster. He is so vile the public will send him packing like “thish war izsh loscht” Reid. BTW Reid: You gonna lose, loozah!
minority leader maybe (and if we have a really good night) maybe he’ll be sent packing back to NY State, Support Jay Townsend on Tuesday to findout! http://www.townsendfornewyork.com/
Right. The NRA has been co-opted by the Left. The conservatives that remain in the NRA are no better than minority groups duped by the Dems.
You don’t have to sell out the Constitution to retain your 2A rights as the NRA might think it can do. Actually, the NRA cannot really be pro 2A if it supports Dems of any stripe. All Dems, including “pro-gun” Dems, support the Dem leadership and the Dem leadership is decidedly anti-Constitution and anti-2A.
Wake up. The NRA sucks and we could get another Dem in the Senate because of the NRA (WVA)
