RUSH: Now, folks, I want to tell you something here. I saw that... Where did I see this? Oh! Oh! I didn't have a chance to reply to it. I got an e-mail from Mike Allen of The Politico last night. They're working on a story; they may have already run it.
Some Republican leader has told them that the Republican leadership is right now as we speak coalescing to find somebody to oppose Sarah Palin. They didn't identify whoever this "Republican leader is," so I can't tell you who it is, but they say that there's a Republican talking to them at Politico that they are trying to find somebody to beat back Palin, from the Republican establishment, because they are convinced that if Palin is the nominee, the party loses. That's, at least, what they say. It could also be they're scared to death that Palin wins it's the end of them: The Republican establishment.
Mike Allen wanted to take my reply, and I got his e-mail in the midst of a whole bunch other stuff. I just now remembered it so I haven't had a chance to reply. But let's see. This kind of thing, I think the reason I didn't drop everything and reply is 'cause the little antenna go up. It could be a disinformation campaign before the election. Why write a story right now about Palin in 2012? What's the point of running a story like that right now if not then to sow dissention in the ranks? But regardless of that, I don't want to go third party. You don't want to do it. It's gonna be tempting. Third party, you had it right the first time: Guaranteed lose.
“Third party, you had it right the first time: Guaranteed lose. “
I wonder about that. Seems to me that there are lots and lots of folks dissatisfied with both parties...how can someone be so sure that it’s not a guaranteed win!?

It doesn't make sense to push this story now - right before the election. Sounds like disinformation from the Dems...
>> They liked her real well when they thought putting her on the McShamesty ticket was their ace in the hold.
They liked her then because she was supposed to the final nail in McCain’s coffin. The RINO elite knew the economic meltdown was coming and didn’t want to be in power for it. They believed the media spin that the conservatives wouldn’t go for a WOMAN President and were shocked when we adopted her as our unofficial (for now) leader.
Look at your post.
You do realize that most folks could write better than that by the third grade, right?
Mike Allen is a Rove Conduit.
Trust me on this.
He got this from either Rove or Gillespie.
It doesn’t matter if we win or lose in 2012. Palin is conducting a scorched earth campaign against the Establishment. She means to recapture the Party for the Reaganites.
Best,
Chris
was?....did he suddenly see the light?
Journolists have âofficiallyâ disbanded. I doubt he saw the light.
Which is the sad pathetic truth.
I can smell Romney, also. He wants this so bad and he knows his only obstacle is Sarah in getting what is ‘his’.
JournoList never disbanded. All they did was change the name and ip address. Oh, and they didn’t tell the leaker the new one.

hmmmmm....so his letting Rush in on, is actually a baited hook hung in a tree.......useless. Something must be up, Rush has never fallen for such a lame attempt of s*** stirring.
LOL!! McCain was never in it to win it. Everyone knows that.
“I smell Mitt Romney.”
I thouht it was just me!
Any endorsement right now would say more about the endorser than the endorsee.
I can wait for for more days for dissension.
This thing smells like Romney and/or Rove. Rove just announced that he doesn’t believe that Palin would make good presidential material, he is very likely the —secret squirrel—.
Regardless, I don’t think that the “Republican establishment” is simply worried about losing their power because of Palin, I think they are far more worried about her bringing justice to the corrupt bastards that infest DC.
You are absolutely right. And a few people with very good forecasting records predict that 2012 will see a viable third party, with a real chance of winning. Why? Just as you said - the widespread dissatisfaction with the current crop in DC.
This is one of many things that disturbs me about the Rush's and Hannity’s of the talk radio world. They know a conservative third party should at least be considered given the sad state of affairs we face. But their still beholden to the GOP upperclassmen. They do a good job of trying to appear otherwise, but they fall short.
The rep. sure won big with Dole and McCain didn’t they..bunch of idiots...
