I know nothing about this drug.

I do know that government apparatus can easily cure all disease.

I am only too familiar with the story of Provenge and the unscruplous FDA and the chemo cartel that were aligned against it’s passing in 2007. Richard Pazdur must go.

And now, after all that, the company that makes Provenge is going before yet another evaluation by the Centers for Medicaid Studies. Thank you HHS and Obamacare. We’ll know the final answer in 2011 on coverage limitations.

And if it keeps up,we can say goodbye to another American industry, biotech. Who would bother with years of research, $$$ and risk only to be shot down by a capricious FDA and HHS?

For every life-saving drug held up, there’s another drug pulled from the market because it proved too risky after gaining FDA approval.

In this, there really is no way to win.

It doesn’t really matter, anyway. If Obamacare is allowed to survive, the government will quickly run out of money to purchase drugs that haven’t already gone to generic. NO WAY will the government pay for drugs that are name brand. If the government doesn’t use the newer, more expensive drugs for treatment, the manufacturers of new drugs will have no reason to advance drug research.
