Bill Clinton pushed Meek to quit Florida race

Bill Clinton sought to persuade Rep. Kendrick Meek to drop out of the race for Senate during a trip to Florida last week and nearly succeeded.
Meek agreed twice to drop out and endorse Gov. Charlie Crists independent bid in a last-ditch effort to stop Marco Rubio, the Republican nominee who stands on the cusp of national stardom.
Meek, a staunch Clinton ally from Miami, has failed to broaden his appeal around the state and is mired in third place in most public polls, with a survey today showing him with just 15 percent of the vote. His withdrawal, polls suggest, would throw core Democratic voters to the moderate governor, rocking a complicated three-way contest and likely throwing the election to Crist.

Ahhh. the first "black President" is trying to get a black Democrat to end his dream of becoming a Senator and pave the way for a white guy who was a Republican a few months ago.
You have to love how inept the Democrats are right now. They don't need that African American base on Tuesday.. Nah.... Say it ain't so party of diversity. /sarcasm

The left is going to go insane over this. Should be fun to watch the reaction on DU.

I just don’t know if I can stand the thought of the Clintons becoming active in the white house again. God help us! Please, Lord, bring a leader out of the republican party—only one who will glorify you, Lord. Not a pack of wannabees who will split the vote and cause another Rino to float to the top. Thank you, God, for being in charge of this mess. I know that you have a plan and if you’re in control, it’s got to turn out right for each of us who believe in you.

Bill to Meek: Get to the back of the Bus.
Seriously, if I were Meek... I’d be mad as hell that I had to make way for a political opportunist like Crist.

Besides being a liar (Democrat) Meek actually comes across as likable & intelligent until you really listen to what he is saying.
Crist is a leftist homosexual trial lawyer, the lowest form of scum on several levels.
