In interview with Reuters, Mahmoud A-Zahar says Western world 'does not even live like animals' and has not right to preach to Islamists.
The West is floundering in immorality and has no right to criticize the Islamist movement Hamas over the way it governs the Palestinian territory of the Gaza Strip, a veteran leader of the militant group said.
Hamas strategist Mahmoud Al-Zahar also said that the West should be "ashamed of supporting Israel, You cannot support the foundation of Israel. Don't you care about the assassination of people here?" Zahar said.
Zahar told Reuters in an interview that Islamic traditions deserved respect and he accused Europe of promoting promiscuity and political hypocrisy.
"We have the right to control our life according to our religion, not according to your religion. You have no religion. You are secular," said Zahar, who is one of the group's most influential and respected voices.
"You do not live like human beings. You do not [even] live like animals. You accept homosexuality. And now you criticize us?" he said earlier this week, speaking from his apartment building in the densely populated, Mediterranean city.

But there are Biblical admonitions against wasting seed in the Genesis tale of Er and Onan, and homosexuality is forbidden in Leviticus. I don’t see your point. Regardless of what it says in the Koran, homosexuality is rampant among Muslims.

One of the (totally) untold facts of the erosion of Western foreign policy is the terrible effect of the "sexual revolution" on our moral authority in the developing world.
Although this "authority" is surely hypocritical (homosexuality in the form of pedophilia is WIDELY accepted in the Islamic world) still, the fact that we're screwed up in our morality isn't lost on the world of Islam, or the rest of the developing world either, and this hurts Western interests much more than we think...
