We want Kirk to lose and now is as good a time as any.

Then get used to hearing "Majority Leader Shumer".

And this second opinion is just as bad as the first.

Palin and simple, a vote for Giannoulias is a vote for Obama.
Do you realize what winning Obama old seat would mean nationally for this country ? it would be earth shaking.

Your logic is twisted “Kirk will help Obamao with the cramming every bit as much as Giannoulias.” - I highly doubt this because after Tuesday, the people would have spoken and no way Kirk will side with the Dems the way Giannoulias will.
I understand that you don want to vote for Kirk, but voting for Giannoulias is even dumber.
If you feel that passionate, don’t vote either — leave that race blank and vote for the other races.

There is no justification for any conservative or republican to vote for any democRat, especially this year.

And yes, I am used to the same corruption in NY with the NY GOP — just look at who they put up to run as senators — Joe DoGuardi and Jay Townsend — neither of them are even running tv commercials, yet I will never vote for any democRat, especially this year.

You guys did convince of one thing — I am sending a donation to Kirk. Maybe he will send you a thank you.

I wonder how many times people said this in relationship to Jim Jeffords and Arlen Spectre or the liberal twins from Maine? How about that backstabbing *hitbag, Juan McCain?

Arlen Sphincter and the liberal twins from Maine misread what the people voted for in 2008, the same way Obama did.
They went the Dem wave that was just voted in, and Sphincter to save his own skin.
When the wave or tsunami goes in the Republican favor, newly elected or re-elected Republicans are not going to go against that wave.

Fine, Majority Leader Shumer it is. I don’t care. I’ve heard Majority Leader Daschle, Majority Leader Reid, Speaker Pelosi. What do I care if I have to hear Majority Leader Shumer? Does the Majority leader get more votes for a bill than anyone else? Do you really think Shumer is going to be loved by the country?

I’ve also heard Republican Senator Jim Jeffords, Republican Senator Lincoln Chafee, Republican Senator Arlen Specter, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham, Republican Senator Olympia Snowe, Republican Senator Susan Collins, Republican Senator Richard Lugar, Republican Senator George Voinovich, and I don’t care to ever get used to hearing Republican Senator Mark Kirk.

Get over it you GOP lemming.

Sure, just like the 55 GOP Senators that did not go against the wave of the 2004 election. Let’s see, that wave brought us:
Social Security Reform (Dead on Arrival)
John Bolton for UN Ambassador (Not approved, Republican Senator cried and kept him from coming out of committee)
Numerous Judicial Nominees (Not approved, Gang of 14)
Sec. of Defense Rumsfeld (pummeled by Democrats and GOP, had to get dumped by Bush)
Iraq War Surge (Mark Kirk visits Bush to oppose)
Supreme Court Picks (Bush forced to meet with Democrat minority leaders to run by what picks are acceptable to them)
Senate Judiciary Committee (Chaired by Arlen Specter)
Decreased Govt. Spending? (Nope)
Attempt to Pass Amnesty for Illegals? (Sure did)
Hand wringing over suspected Gitmo Torture? (A whole lot of that; thank you McCain)
Daily anti-war coverage? (all the time)
Attempt or Ability to defend Republican President in time of war? (crickets chirping)
Big Losses in ‘06 mid-term (you betcha)
Big focus on saving one’s own political hide? (that was pretty much the main focus for GOP Congressmen)
One weirdo Congressman from Florida who hit on teenage guys able to make the ‘06 midterms all about him due to lackluster GOP leadership? (Yep)
One word able to sink a GOP Senator? (yep, macaca)

How many GOP Senators did we have back then? 55
Did the GOP have the House? Yep
Did Bush win re-election in ‘04? Yep
Did the GOP go AGAINST the wave? Big Time.

You’ll be asking for your money back within a year.
Tell you what, I’ll vote for Kirk for the 2 month lame duck session (that is a ballot option you know) If he wins it and loses the 6 year term, he can make up for his cap and trade vote and vote No, if it comes up during the lame duck. Or, he can stick it to us, and for for it, which wouldn’t surprise me. Either way, I will give him a change to prove his GOP bonafides before he goes into early retirement.

I’m sorry but you fools who vote for no-chance candidates or stay home are the reason we’re in this mess. If the guy had a chance, fine, go for it. But he doesn’t. You’ll be the reason the senate stays blue. These are people’s lives you’re screwing with. Put Kirk in and then let Demint stomp his ass a few times.

Were people’s lives at stake when Kirk voted for cap and trade and partial birth abortion? How about when he lobbyed Bush to forgo the Iraq War surge?

Looks like IL GOP primary voters goofed up and voted for the wrong guy. If Kirk actually was somewhat conservative, he wouldn’t be having any problem from 3rd party voters.

Then be an idiot and vote for the Libertarian so that Alexi wins.

WTH is a ‘3rd party voter’? That’s like cheering for the Astros right about now.

    Scenario #1:
  1. Giannoulias has mob buddy hit man kill Kirk
  2. Gianoulias goes to jail
  3. Labno becomes Senator

No I won’t, I never look back and have regrets.

I sure Kirk is a RINO, but I KNOW Giannoulias is a total liberal and a criminal.

That’s what primaries are for, this election is for saving the country.
