While he leans to the right, particularly on economic issues, Kirk is more of a centrist. Nonetheless, conservatives will support Kirk, if only because his opponent is so offensive to them.

Kirk does not "lean" to the right. He Mr. 100% NARAL/Planned Parenthood/Handgun Control Inc. is not "centrist."

Alexi Giannoulias, a candidate who not only approved millions of dollars in loans to mobsters, but lied about doing so, claiming “he didn’t know the extent of their activity.” Apparently Alexi knew that convicted mobsters Michael “Jaws” Giorango and Demitri Stavropoulos were “actively” engaged in criminal enterprises to some extent, just not exactly how much. This is what passes as justification in Giannoulias’s world.

Okay. Enough 'Mobster Bashing'. I think these poor guys need some kind of 'rights group' to defend their honor and stick up for their God given Rights, like any other 'repressed minority'.

Furthermore, who's a better credit risk? An 'alleged' Mobster with steady income or some schmuck making $20.00/hr who can get laid off tomorrow?

No I'm not sticking up for Giannoulias. But it's time again that Wiseguys get the respect they deserve. They worked hard to earn it, darn it!
