Who does Delaware Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Chris Coons want campaigning in Delaware? Sarah Palin, of course.
Facing attention-grabbing Republican candidate Christine ODonnell, the Coons campaign sent an e-mail to supporters Tuesday wondering aloud why the matriarch of the Mama Grizzlies hadnt yet fulfilled a promise to campaign for the struggling candidate.
The Delaware Republican Party turned its back on ODonnell. Then the National Republican Senatorial Committee turned off their support, read the letter. Sarah Palins absence in Delaware is a sign that she is set to do the same?
Far from a rhetorical question, the Coons campaign seems eager to actually have the former vice presidential candidate make an appearance for ODonnell.
I think Sarah Palin coming in would be great, said Coons Communications Director Daniel McElhatton. Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint, [and] Christine ODonnell have all the same types of ideology and policy positions So if Sarah Palin wants to come in and articulate those positions to Delawareans, all the better.
The Coons camps eagerness to have Palin stump for ODonnell might be reflected in a recent Gallup poll that suggests Palin has a negative net impact of 16 percent on independent voters, though its not as bad as President Obamas negative net impact of 27 percent.
While polls currently show Coons leading the race by double digits, the ODonnell camp recently sent a message to supporters claiming that gap between the two was shrinking.
Chris Coons tired rhetoric is wearing thin and the polls are showing it, read the message.
The ODonnell campaign was unavailable for comment.
Poor little arrogant liberal doesn't realize that this will be a turnout election in which the voters who turn out will determine the winner.
Speaking of trunout, I am noticing on Facebook a sharp spike in O'Donnnell's facebook fan numbers vis a vis Coons. Up until the last week or so, she has been gaining more new fans than Coons at a rate of 2.5-1. (She currently has 26,858 to 9819 for Coons). In the last five days days, as the election approaches, her trajectory has increased sharply. She has gained 334 fans to only 75 for Coons, a factor of 4.5-1. This indicates the interest in her campaign, and the intensity (which translates directly into turnout) is high and getting even higher, while Coons is flagging more than ever.
Yet Coons wants to invite the biggest draw in the world into Delaware to campaign for his opponent. What do you say, folks? Should Sarah Palin accommodate this little skunk? That should pretty well finish him off. In the words of the immortal ballad of the 1970s, he'll be a dead skunk in the middle of the road.....stinkin to high heaven. LOL
Ping!
If O’Donnell doesn’t get elected she’d make a great Secretary of State in a Palin Administration.
I thought she was going there Oct. 31? am I wrong?
“I thought she was going there Oct. 31? am I wrong?”
I don’t know. Do you have a link. This would be great... the coup de grace.
I’d like to see 0 glued to the Pet for about the next 7 days. Tough to make this guy look any worse, but that should do it.
Democrats at DEFCON 1: Is Christine ODonnell now leading in internals?
You are right. Palin will be there October 31.

New Poll Has Christine O'Donnell Within 6%
Stunning news to report today, fellow patriots. A brand new poll has Christine O'Donnell surging to within 6% of her Democrat challenger, Chris Coons.
This late-in-the-campaign surge replicates her surge in the polls in the GOP primary, when everyone had written her off and said she could never win.
She proved the so-called "experts" wrong before and she seems poised to do so again!
With just 10 days left until Election Day, we would love nothing more than to defeat Barack Obama's and Harry Reid's candidate, Chris Coons, and give the media heartburn by electing Christine O'Donnell to the U.S. Senate.
But now we've got to give it everything we've got because it seems the national Republican Party has abandoned her and is refusing to put money into her campaign. But we here at the Tea Party Express aren't abandoning Christine O'Donnell, and we're committed to helping her win, just as we did in the primary.
Our goal is to raise $150,000 for Christine's campaign in the next 72 hours. Please, let's not just reach that goal, let us surpass it!
Please make a donation to our campaign for Christine O'Donnell - HERE.
If you can afford a more generous contribution of $100, $250, $500, $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000 - it will go a long way to ensuring we reach our goal.
We're hoping that at least 600 conservatives and tea party activists will contribute $100 or more in the next 72 hours. Please forward this email to everyone you can!
It takes me a little while to find everything to post....lol.
Bump!
The libs’ capacity for self-delusion never ceases to amaze me.
Good witch of the west meets good witch of the east!!! Love it!
I guess Coons is the wicked witch. He seems a little light in his loafers for that role.
