Accused Fort Hood shooter's gun purchase detailed
San Francisco Chronicle ^ | Oct. 26, 2010 | David Zucchino

The Army psychiatrist accused of killing 13 people in a shooting rampage in November sought "the most high-tech handgun" available and wanted maximum ammo capacity, a gun salesman testified.

Maj. Nidal Hasan also bought extended ammunition magazines and extra bullets while recording a salesman's gun instructions on his cell phone, Fredrick Brannon, a former employee of Guns Galore in Killeen, Texas, told a military hearing Thursday.

Brannon said Hasan also bought an expensive targeting laser and "wanted to know everything there was to know" about the sophisticated FN-Five-seveN semiautomatic pistol he purchased Aug. 1, 2009 - three months before the worst mass shooting on a U.S. military base.

Yeah. Focus on the inanimate weapon, not the motives or the people.

Q: Why don’t we ever hear about where the cars were purchased of fatal car accidents?

A: Because deep down, the government is basically ok with car ownership and isn’t trying to take them away.

...they don’t ban matches because there’s fires.

Actually, I think they’re establishing intent and premeditation.
The features he wanted in his weapon show that he purchased exactly for the use he put it to - mass murder.

Is this handgun legally-available to private citizens? Or did Hasan manage to get one because he was military?

This guy was Army. There was no indication that his intent was dishonorable. Show me where being a mind-reader is part of the requirements to run a legitimate business.

I went to the gun store. I asked them about the best weapons they had for concealed carry. They did the job they were supposed to do and showed me what they had and went over the merits and drawbacks to the ones I was looking at.

It’s sickening to realize that our tax dollars paid the salary of this traitorous Muslim ‘commissioned’ army officer. Every officer that served with this scumbag and didn’t blow the whistle should be sitting in Leavenworth.

But when police shoot someone, they usually (or, at least often) empty the gun and the spare magazine in one person ... that’s not mass murder even if it’s 30 shots.

It's in the civilian market.

I am still appalled that Ft Hood, as well as other military bases are "gun free zones"! FGS, at the very least, the MP's should be armed.

When a military base becomes a killing field because of the actions of one enlistee, there's something terribly wrong with the system...........

Of course the weapon is legal in most states. The problem is not the weapon. The problem is the Muslim Radical and the policy of diversity that killed our troops.

They issue far better weapons to every Swiss adult and train them to use them. They keep them in their homes after service. They have the lowest rate of firearms related death in the world.

The court argument is to show that the Radical Muslim did not snap and have a bad day, he planned rationally to kill these people.

FN five-seven.........interesting. not the most potent round, but very accurate and has high ammo capacity. also has the ability to pierce body armor.

They are o.k. with car ownership for now. As the peasants become more and more conditioned as slaves, they will begin to ban car ownership. What do think the push to “Mass transit and light rail” is all about?

"Hasan's civilian lawyer, John P. Galligan, has not said whether he will present an Article 32 case or mount an insanity defense."

All Muslim Terrorists are insane. I guess that means that civilian courts should set them all free to roam the streets.

They don’t even tell the concerned reader where the matches were bought, and how many were in the package, and how long they were. You gotta wonder though, when strike-anywhere matches are sold in boxes of 250 - who needs to start that many fires? Those “high capacity assault matches” ought to be banned. And those water heater matches about a foot long, who needs to start fires that far away? Those matches are deadly-accurate “sniper matches” and should only be available to registered law enforcement professionals. Don’t get me started on Bic lighters, which have the ability to start thousands and thousands of fires in a “pocket rocket” way, AND THEY CAN BE REFILLED!!!!!! AUGGGGGHHHH!

/ gun grabber “thinking”

Too bad the gun selling dude didn't think like Jaun.

This entire Ft. Hood thing is the fault of PC...and Jaun is a perfect example of "reality". If just one person in the military PC group WAS ALLOWED to think like Jaun, this "mass murder" 'IN THE NAME OF ALLAH" would never have happened.
