Just saw the video on Fox. People will go to jail. This woman was assaulted, thrown to the ground and held there while some thug stepped on her head.
If these assholes were SEIU thugs we'd be calling for a war. The truth is they were Paul supporters .
How do we know they weren't SEIU thugs pretending to be Rand Paul supporters?
I saw the video as well, and what I saw was not the behavior of typical Republicans. My first thought was those guys were plants by the left to give the MSM a nice photo op to frame Republicans as thugs.

Of course it was, and the follow up actions is to flood the internet with trolling responses that its a sign of extremism. The next time it happens the person may have deadly intent, but because people read "concerned" posters on the internet they instead chose to freeze. And there will be a different sort of story in the news, now it will become injuries and or death. Take a stand and stand firm I say.

I saw the video as well, and what I saw was not the behavior of typical Republicans. It ought to be. Remember when the Code Pink chick rushed Condoleeza Rice with her fake-blood hands, and we all said, why didn't somebody down her? This woman apparently tried to rush the candidate (no video of that, just verbal reports), and she got downed, JUST AS SHE SHOULD HAVE BEEN. If she'd been beaten, she wouldn't have been up giving an interview without a mark on her just a few minutes later.

Now wtc911... I made absolutely no personal or derogatory remarks about you... I just disagree with you on this article. Why is it so usual for me to get something wrong? In tens of thousands of posts that I have made, there are literally only a handful of posts where I made a mistake... and I corrected those mistakes and apologized if needed. Can't we debate this without slipping into personal attacks? Expect none from me.
rachael corey is another one of these leftists that got what she deserved. This woman would have been flogged 200 years ago. America has grown soft... dims and al qaeda have taken notice. Some of us are not so soft... and you will need all of us one day. Mark my words.

Is it too much to ask the identity of the man in the hat that put her to the ground?
Then I want the identity of the man with the foot on her back.
These people need to be prosecuted for assault. This cannot be tolerated.

Don’t be so quick to assume it was Rand Paul people.

Paul needs to get out in front of this, denounce it and explain why his beliefs don’t condone this behavior. He can mention she was with Moveon.org but then say that the act of stepping on people is reprehensible.

These people need to be prosecuted for assault. Right after she's charged with assaulting the candidate.
This cannot be tolerated.
It should be ENCOURAGED.

I don’t see the connection.
Unless Rand was hit/assaulted by the woman...it didn’t warrant that response.
Look. I want Rand to win and he will smartly come out and denounce such stuff, but I want to be clear. Be pragmatic and come out and end this and find out everyone who’s involved. Transparency for all.

Bingo. He should also state that he understands that Moveon has demonstrated violence in the past and he would hope that Moveon would denounce such behavior.

I don’t recall Move.on stepping on people so I wouldn’t want to give them ammunition. If it was the SEIU, well, they were much more violent. However, this was just a random supporter and I’m sure Paul can illustrate this isn’t an official representative of his campaign.

The part not on video tape is that she rushed through the crowd to the front where Rand was exiting his vehicle, someone then recognized that she was in disguise.
Based on current personal experience, I would have hoped someone in the crowd would have put her down and if the crowd hadn’t then I guarantee Rand Paul’s Security would have and it would have turned out a lot worse for her already ugly face.

Running up to the candidate in disguise, while shouting and waving an unrecognizable object (is it a gun? a bottle of acid? who knows?) damn well DOES warrant that response, by anyone who happens to be around.
I have not seen video of that part (don’t think there is any) so am relying on the description of events. They didn’t beat her, they only restrained her. That video I *HAVE* seen. I have no problem at all with the way they handled it, and I’d have no problem with liberals who handled a conservative assaulter the same way. It wouldn’t even need to be a political candidate for me to find it appropriate for bystanders to step in to such a situation.

Ah...I didnt see that part. Towards the beginning, you can see them pull a cheesy platinum-blonde wig off her. I might not have recognized it as such myself had I not been in a costume shop last night.

No, they just rush stages with fake blood on their hands and besides she admitted she was fraudulently in disguise trying to present Rand Paul with a fake award. Prior to them tackling her, they couldn't have known she was from Moveon.

Thank you. I lack both broadband and cable to view this. The first question I had was how do we know this was a Paul supporter vs a complete set up to make Paul look bad?
