My Quang Cao, a former officer in the army of South Vietnam and the father of U.S. Rep. Anh "Joseph" Cao, has died in New Orleans at age 78, Cao's campaign said Thursday in a news release.
The cause of Cao's death on Wednesday was not listed but the statement said he had been battling diabetes, as well as post-traumatic stress syndrome resulting from his years as a prisoner following the fall of South Vietnam to the communists in 1975...

You must work for NPR with your psycho-babble... I do not dislike Asians - they are among my favorite people .... I just don’t like Cao junior because he is a confused - feel good socialist...
Why? What is the definition of Representative government?
Do Cao’s constituents want welfare?
Why is the answer no? What is a Representative supposed to do? Substitute their own judgment for that of their Constituents? Or vote how their Constituents want?
It is the job of an elected office holder at the national level and the state level to keep taxes low and promote economic conditions to allow businesses of all sizes to CREATE JOBS.
It is not the job of office holders to tax producers to death and give away benefits to those who won’t work. Cao wants to put burdens on MAKERS so the TAKERS can have money and benefits.
Whether they want welfare or not Cao wishes to give it to them. Cao is for redistribution of other peoples money - give it to the TAKERS.
IOW: It is the job of an elected Representative to vote the way you want, right? BTW: Do you think that a Democrat replacement for Cao would be a step up? Perhaps vote more like the way you want?
Mr. Cao, who was born in Vietnam on Jan. 21, 1932, enlisted in the military right out of high school, joining the officers training program.
When South Vietnam fell to the Communists in 1975, Mr. Cao was taken a prisoner of war by the North Vietnamese Army.
He spent the next seven years in Communist re-education camps, where his family said he was subjected to physical and psychological torture. His wife, Khang Thi Tran, was allowed to visit her husband only four times a year during his imprisonment.
End snips
Elected Representatives should vote on bills that are allowed under the U.S. Constitution - according to the rule of law. Socialism is not a Constitutionally authorized set of concepts or programs. Socialistic programs that Cao junior wishes to implement run counter to everything the U.S.A. was founded upon... Redistribution of wealth as Cao wants is unconstitutional.
Yes RINOs like Cao Jr. are worse than Democrats.
