Upon hearing he would not receive President Obama's endorsement, the Democratic nominee for governor of Rhode Island told the president to "shove it."
Frank Caprio took the swipe at the president just before he was scheduled to arrive in the Ocean State for a factory visit and fundraiser.
"He can take his endorsement and really shove it as far as I'm concerned," Caprio told WPRO Radio, the Providence Journal reported.
Caprio's comment is one of the strongest examples of anti-Obama rhetoric from a Democrat this cycle, in which political observers are predicting a GOP wave.
The Democrat is in a three-way race with independent Lincoln Chafee, a former centrist Republican senator, and GOP nominee John Robitaille.

You know you are going to do well when the Dems begin to eat each other...
This is priceless, one of the best lines of the campaign. I haven’t heard any Republicans use this kind of language towards The One.
I would love to see this gambit work. The Republican Robitaille has been polling way behind so I think he’s trying to get more conservative votes. I’d be glad just to see that lib Chafee lose
Nothing that us FReepers haven’t said.
Maybe the whole thing was staged.
Probably and he’s also running commercials that sounds like he’s to the right of Reagan but he’s just another lying democrat tool of the unions.
Caprio telling Obama to shove it is only the second funniest thing in this article, the first is referring to Chafee as a “centrist Republican”

Frank Caprio

Strange Bed-fellow, indeed.
Being passed over for the likes of Lincoln Chafee is reason enough for the man to be offended.
LOL. What is more surprising, Obama dissing Caprio or Caprio telling him to shove it?
RI better hope they never need any relief support from the Feds, because Soetoro is vindictive...oh right, Soetoro couldn't be bothered to visit when RI had the floods earlier this year.
Imagine if a Republican president did that?
Too bad Buddy Cianci didn't run for something this year.
