This is must see.
PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT:
JERRY BROWN ON CNN 1992: "You run for office and, oh, the assumption is, I know what to do. You don't. I didn't have a plan for California.
Here is a direct link to the YouTube video:
You say you're going to lower taxes, you say you're going to put people to work, you're going to improve the schools, you're going to stop crime. Crime is up, schools are worse, taxes are higher, I mean be real."

And he doesn’t have one now.
Sadly, Californians are going to elect themselves into their final destruction next week.
And Californians are all set to re-elect him...
Can’t Whitman feature this in an ad?
I don't know if the deadline has passed. If not, she needs to get it on the air by Wednesday at the latest.
Never has, never will!
That should be a bumper sticker. IMHO
It has been for weeks.
This needs to be in heavy rotation in Meg’s ads.
Since when does the First Amendment have a deadline?
Back in the 1960s and 1970s, there was a seemingly endless parade of pop songs about how great life was in California, and millions of young Americans dreamed of moving to the land of sandy beaches and golden sunshine. But now all of that has changed. Today, millions of Californians are dreaming about leaving the state for good. The truth is that California is broke. The economy of the state is in shambles. The official unemployment rate has been sitting above 12 percent for an extended period of time, and poverty is everywhere.
For many Californians today, there are very few reasons to stay in the state but a whole lot of reasons to leave: falling housing prices, rising crime, budget cuts, rampant illegal immigration, horrific traffic, some of the most brutal tax rates in the nation, increasing gang violence and the ever present threat of wildfires, mudslides and natural disasters.
The truth is that it is easy to understand why there are now more Americans moving out of California each year than there are Americans moving into the state. California has become a complete and total disaster zone in more ways than one, and an increasing number of Californians are deciding that enough is enough and they are getting out for good.
Sadly, the state of California is facing such a wide array of social, economic, and political problems that it is hard to even document them all. It is really one huge gigantic mess at this point. Just consider the following facts about what life is like in the state of California today....
--------------------------------------
How'd they get in this fix? Then-Gov Brown signed 1978 legislation allowing collective bargaining for public employees. That started the payoffs to buy votes. Wholesale looting and pillaging had begun.
"Not my fault."
REFERENCE No single act has changed California for the worse more than this one. Before 1978, there was a relatively small state government. Employees were protected by civil service. Pay was lower than comparable jobs in the private sector but job security and good benefits plus the old notion of public service drew many talented people to work in government. Today, the primary goal of powerful public employee uions is to get the Legislature they bought and paid for to enact a new law making it illegal for any city or county to declare bankruptcy without guaranteeing union contract terms.
Now Brown wants to be governor again.
Sure he does. Raise taxes, make promises to every special interest group that will give him support, degrade the morality of the state and country even further, kiss the collective behinds of the government workers’ unions, do as much as possible to delay making the hard decisions.
Don’t worry. Obama’s tax task force is talking about bailing states that have blown their budgets.
BLUE STATES WILL GET BAILED OUT BY RED STATES. ANOTHER BUREAUCRATIC MONSTROSITY, MORE TAXES, MORE DEBT AND THE COLLAPSE OF OUR WAY OF LIFE. I wish I were kidding. And Bushies were proudly represented. They can’t wait to redistribute the wealth of Texas to California.
Hopefully, 24/7, for as long as possible.
Why is this not an ad?
I have friends and family in California, but no one has an adequate explanation for me for why the nutcase Brown is ahead in the polls. Are most of Californians THAT crazy, or are the illegal “Hispanics” in the polls?
That’s what I say. In addition, this weekend, ol’ Jer actually said “We need to spend more!!”
I’m here. I can’t explain it either, except that MANY of today’s voters were not here during Moonbeam’s prior tenure. Also, the unions and Spanish-language radio are pounding their people to vote for old baldy.
This nation had no problem kicking Mexicos ass starting in 1846, we put them in their place and our Marines roamed the Halls of Montezuma in Mexico City and showed them whos boss.
MAYBE ITS TIME FOR A SEQUEL.
