"The day that we saw a spike in the polls was a day that some people had a prayer meeting for me that morning for this campaign so I believe that prayer plays a direct role in this campaign and I always ask please pray for the campaign; please pray for our staff; please pray specifically that the eyes of the voters be opened."

What god did she pray to, exactly? Aqua Buddha, perhaps?
And where was the prayer meeting held? Middle of the night in the woods? In the basement with her coven?

Prayer impacts everything. Even non-churchgoers will, when they are in life’s foxhole say things like, “pray for me”. Or “pray for my loved one”. Only a fool dismisses prayer. I have doubts about O’Donnell being able to win but she said the right (and true) thing.

Don’t tell the troll to go away. When liberals smear Christine like that, her poll numbers (and checkbook balance) go up.

"God is the reason that I'm running. If I didn't believe that there were a cause greater than myself worth fighting for, if I didn't believe that it takes a complete dying of self to make things right in this election cycle I would not be running and when you die to yourself you rely on a power greater than yourself so prayer is what's gotten us all through."
I never thought I'd hear these words coming out of a candidate's mouth. But then again, I never thought I'd see actual photographs of mangled aborted babies being aired on television advertising in D.C. Keep praying everyone ... God is with US ...

If you are what your profile suggests, why should you care whom she prays to or for in her life?

I don’t.

I was wondering - that post didn’t meet your usual angle...
I usually put “/libspeak” at the end of something like that.

Prayer impacts everything.
No it doesn't.
Even non-churchgoers will, when they are in lifes foxhole say things like, pray for me. Or pray for my loved one. Only a fool dismisses prayer.
Do you mean "non-churchgoer" believers or "non church-goer" non-theists? Because if you meant the latter, your blanket statement is not true. And I dismiss prayer quite confidently, and I am no fool.
I have doubts about ODonnell being able to win
But, why? She's praying to win? She has entire groups of people praying for her. Coons surely has none. How can she possibly lose?
My point is not to bash O'Donnell, as I am really, REALLY rooting for her to win, but to ascribe some supernaturalism to a bump in polls is as ridiculous as people denigrating her for the "witchcraft" nonsense.
