For Senate, Joe Sestak (PA Paper And It's Delusional Endorsement)
Times-Tribune ^ | 10/25/2010 | Staff

And while Mr. Toomey rightly expresses concern about the growing national debt, he seems to think it is solely the result of decisions by President Barack Obama, with help from Mr. Sestak and other congressional Democrats. He contended that earlier decisions slashing taxes while conducting two hugely expensive wars constituted sound policy, for example.

Mr. Toomey is not, like former Sen. Rick Santorum, an ideological flamethrower. Yet on policy matters he probably is even more conservative than Mr. Santorum and most other current members of Congress.

Mr. Sestak's views are shaped by his military career, during which he rose to the rank of vice admiral. He recognizes the limits of military power and advocates greater emphasis on diplomacy to resolve the war in Afghanistan, while calling for military spending to be included in overall spending reductions. He recognizes climate change, which can contribute to the destabilization of governments, and the development of alternative energy to break foreign dependence, as national security imperatives.

This endorsement by this paper is nothing but Democrat talking points for the past two years, offering the delusional beliefs that it's Bush's fault, tax increases are good, Man Made Global Warming is a problem, we need to cut defense spending and we can use diplomacy with terrorists.

I guess the circulation of this rag hasn't dropped sufficiently yet to scare the com-symp editorial staff into a GOP endorsement.

Just look at the Miami Heralds endorsement of Rubio, the leftists are running scared.

"He contended that earlier decisions slashing taxes while conducting two hugely expensive wars constituted sound policy, for example."

I'm a huge fan of alternative history and enjoy reading author's with fertile, speculative minds who ponder the "what if's".

I think a good subject for a short novel might be concerning the 2000 election outcome, had Gore been declared the winner, and failed to undertake two "hugely expensive wars." I wonder what the United States would look like today....

Maybe that was their thinking, but Pat's starting to worry me. The NEA is running some pretty devastating ads tieing Toomey to Wall Street deregulation that might have caused the crisis, and Toomey isn't countering near hard enough. Add in his disappointing comments about Christine O'Donnell, and I think we have a cause for concern.

Disclaimer: I want Pat to win, and worked for him when he ran against Specter. Frankly, THIS race seems more poorly organized. I'm a big believer on "when to peak", and I'm concerned that he peaked early and now Sestak is peaking at the correct time.

A poll out this morning has Toomey up by 5 points. The poll is by the Allentown Morning Call. They have been polling this race for several weeks and this is Toomey’s widest margin.

This race is over, turnoff the local blather TV. Toomey is going to win by 4-6 points. This has been over for a while. The polling firms are monkeying with the turnout models, party affiliations, etc to falsely make this a horse-race. I saw Toomey on and he commented on this supposed "Momentum" for Sleestak, he said the same thing, MSM poll rigging and propaganda, that his internals showed him in a good shape. As as for that RCP average, they had a few polls the day before the 2004 election showing Kerry winning, so buck up.
