Republican strategist Karl Rove said today that in running a slew of TV ads paid for by undisclosed donors, GOP groups are only doing what Democrats have done in the past.
This has been going on for a long while, he said Sunday on CBSs Face the Nation. Suddenly everybodys gotten spun up about it this year Once we copied what liberals did, liberals got upset.
Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D., Md.), who heads the committee working to elect House Democrats, replied, Karl Rove just told you he did not want the voters to know who is spending tens of millions of dollars to essentially buy a Congress.
Mr. Rove said donors do not expect anything special in return for their contributions.

Hopefully we can do it better. Vote early, vote often, and by all means do what you can to suppress their votes. At least this isn’t another whine, all is lost article. We need to be able to talk about how we won, not like losers who talk about how they played the game.
It was a great interview. He shut Schieffer up!

Ugghhh!
What we cheat now? C’mon Rove.
Quit explaining Rove....we are NOT doing what RATS have done....and their despicable illegal tactics...
Corporations are PEOPLE. There is no such thing as a corporation aside from people that belong to it.
Corporations provide for families and those families and individuals that belong to those families have a right to communicate what is best for their ongoing future and progeny.
That is Rove at his best.....not whining about O’Donnell but a behind the scenes mover and shaker
All together now Awwwwwwwww.
when the Democrats are sitting in the corner in a fetal position sucking on their collective thumbs whimperiong for their mommies then the job is only half done. Let the Rinos know they are next on the hit list.
"But, Mom! Everybody's doing it!"
Thank you, A.Hun!!!
It’s about time The GOP quit rolling over for the Dems and started taking the gloves off.
Yep, he stood up for us all.
You’re welcome but thanks to Onyx...I stole the link from her!
GOP supporters want anonymity because they have a very legitimate fear of ruthless retaliation!
Its now obvious to anyone who is paying attention that the Democrat party stands for nothing but short-sighted selfishness and greed. The life and death issues that face our nation can’t be discussed. Off limits. Instead they whine and moan and scream about trivialities and irrelevancies.
What is the point of their immoral ruthlessness? For a few more years of robbing widows and orphans before they turn the world over to fundamentalist Islam? Sickening.

I know it...its been evident since they took aim at Joe the Plumber. Thank goodness there are still some that don't mind speaking out. Rove has already been through the Dem's inquisition (several times)and he's not shutting up.
He just destroyed the Dems on the "anonymous donations". I loved the one page "disclosure" on 80 something million dollars in union donations! LOL
Actually, the real issue is GOP spinelessness. GOPers, like Rove has proven ad nauseum, that he and they just want to do comfortable deals, no muss, no fuss. It is only because of this spineless that Rove even feels a need to defend political speech. Democrats don't defend their tactics, but GOPers, comfortable pork dealing RINOs, I mean, don't want to have to defend nuthin'. They just want to take their pork and go home. Holder suppresses a prosecution. Hey, we saw that. Just add a smigin more of the good stuff on the scale and we'll call it even. Hold hearings, ask tough questions about corruption? How absolutely unseemly.
In short, Rove is just being the same ol' Rove he has always been. Anything but just stand up straight, look the other guy in the eyes and say "you want to make something of it?" So, this need to splain himself is just more RINO weakness.
