It might be hard for some of the younger Freepers to believe, but in 1982, the cassette Walkman was the coolest thing on the planet. I felt like such a big shot back in those days, walking down the street with 12 songs in my pocket!

Yeah, back in 1980 we got one from our Japanese exchange student. Us kids were so cool then. Awesome little device at the time, but now I can’t live without my iPhone and my Mac.

I bought something called an iPod today - it’ll hold hundreds of songs, some movies, games, and videos... It’s charging right now... we’ll see if I can get the thing working...
