New Poll Has Christine O'Donnell Within 6%
Tea Party Express E-Mail | 10/24/2010 | Tea Party Express

Posted on 10/24/2010 12:07:52 PM PDT by rob777

I got the following e-mail from the Tea Party Express and wondered if others had heard of a poll showing Christine this close.

Stunning news to report today, fellow patriots. A brand new poll has Christine O'Donnell surging to within 6% of her Democrat challenger, Chris Coons.

This late-in-the-campaign surge replicates her surge in the polls in the GOP primary, when everyone had written her off and said she could never win.

She proved the so-called "experts" wrong before and she seems poised to do so again!

With just 10 days left until Election Day, we would love nothing more than to defeat Barack Obama's and Harry Reid's candidate, Chris Coons, and give the media heartburn by electing Christine O'Donnell to the U.S. Senate.

But now we've got to give it everything we've got because it seems the national Republican Party has abandoned her and is refusing to put money into her campaign. But we here at the Tea Party Express aren't abandoning Christine O'Donnell, and we're committed to helping her win, just as we did in the primary.

That’s the NPR mindset. My way, or no way.

BREAKING NEWS: Coons Goons Trespass, Assault Three O’Donnell Staffers
Several supporters of Chris Coons, the Delaware Democratic U.S. Senate candidate did it again. As you enter the Glasgow Medical Center on Glasgow Avenue in Bear, DE, Coons supporters started out by holding a peaceful protest.

But, while leading doctors from across the state held a press conference with Christine O’Donnell, two Coons disrupted the press conference and were asked to leave. By way of disrupting the press conference which was held in a conference room inside the Glasgow Medical Center, the Coons supporters trespassed on that property since they were not seeking medical care.

It was reported that they were asked to leave, but re-entered the building defying orders from security guards and possibly even Delaware State Police.

One Christine O’Donnell staffer is suffering from a head pain as she was shoved into a wall. Two other staffers were also shoved, but their injuries are not known at this time.

This story is developing, and we will have more updates as they become available.

If it becomes a news story, which I think would be unlikely.

If there’s a video, then yeah. I remember the Coakley staffer from the DSCC obstructing the journalist video.

Here is the email in it's orginal form:

New Poll Has Christine O'Donnell Within 6%

Our goal is to raise $150,000 for Christine's campaign in the next 72 hours.  Please, let's not just reach that goal, let us surpass it!

Please make a donation to our campaign for Christine O'Donnell - HERE.

If you can afford a more generous contribution of $100, $250, $500, $1,000, $2,500 or $5,000 - it will go a long way to ensuring we reach our goal.

We're hoping that at least 600 conservatives and tea party activists will contribute $100 or more in the next 72 hours.  Please forward this email to everyone you can!

“And the credible poll was, ______ ?”

I don’t know about any poll. I like the feisty way she handles herself. An observation. Otherwise, get lost.

Since it says “with just 10 days left until election day,” this email is from Saturday, October 23 — so this is new news! I like it.

It is curious that they would not answer the most obvious questions anyone would have after reading that email...

What poll? When will it be released? When was it taken? Who did the polling? etc...

And it is great NEW news, yup BUMP!

I was going to post it, and was glad it already was

Yes, this is VERY good news.

The TCP polls didn’t really have much in the way of credibility. The results were favorable, so we liked that, and pushed the results out there, but those polls weren’t picked up at all by the media.

The Tea Party poll (we’re presuming this is a tea party commissioned poll, much like in September) is probably done by NSON, and they are a reputable polling firm. Not a famous one, but they have done polls before, and they were accurate for the Primary. I’d like to see the internals, but I’d count this as a legitimate poll if it looks like it.

The last poll I deemed at all credible was Rasmussen at +11.
So, if this poll is right, Christine is doing well.

Are you sure you are not confusing that with Intratrade knocking her down to having only a 6% to win (which I read on another post)

I believe she can win with a strong turnout and a united GOP behind her.

They released their results when they did polls for the Delaware primary this way. First a teaser, then more details, then more details. These tea party polls were picked up by some media. Salon made reference to them. This time around they should get even more attention because they had the election right.

The 6% number comes from a Tea Party Express e-mail, which I stated in the very first sentence of the original post. The rest of the post is simply copied from the e-mail. It says that the number comes from a new poll. Since I knew of no such new poll, I assumed that it was a Tea Party Express poll and asked if anyone else was aware of a poll with similar numbers.
