The president's pandering and fear mongering are not working, and the nation's fastest growing demographic is rapidly turning away from his socialist policies.
As if the White House didnt have enough to worry about, a recent Gallup poll piled on bad news for President Obama. At the beginning of 2010 the president enjoyed support from 69% of Hispanics. By May that number was down to 57%. Now just 55% of Hispanics support the president and his liberal agenda. This news by itself is devastating to the Democrats’ prospects in the 2010 midterm elections.
But whats going on behind the numbers could possibly be a harbinger of doom for Obamas re-election in 2012. Across the country conservative Latino organizations are springing up as fast as illegal immigrants are streaming across the border. And these organizations are not content to just conduct meetings and complain about the liberal takeover in Washington. Some are taking action. In Dallas, Amigos de Patriots is launching an online and TV ad campaign called Vote your Values, Vote Conservative. The idea is to remind Hispanics that their ancestors fled countries where prosperity was killed by left-wing regimes. The 30-second spots also take on social issues like abortion, a practice that is dear to liberals and Democrats but that the Latino community at large finds offensive.
Another organization is the Conservative Hispanic Society (CHS). This group boasts thousands of paid members in nearly all 50 states, and its recent campaigns have urged Latinos to Vote Your Values. The reasoning is that Hispanics are conservative on many issues. They value a strong work ethic and dont believe the government ought to take an unfair share of honest money earned through hard work. On that front, they like to work and dont advocate liberal policies that destroy the job market. The CHS also believes there is no majority in the Latino community that sanctions abortion on demand.
The CHS has endorsed Pastor Stephen Broden, an African American, in the 30th Congressional District race in Texas. Hes trying to unseat liberal Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson, who is embroiled in a scholarship scandal. The CHS has also endorsed Sharron Angle in Nevada. The group event called Angles opponent racial Reid. That was a reaction to a recent comment from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid: I dont know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican. The CHS also prides itself on having members of all races in paid membership. The group says all people that believe in conservative Hispanic values are welcome.
It is tragic that so many Latinos whose families risked so much to come to the promise that was America are finding that the leftist polices that made them flee their countries of origin have now taken root in the seats of power in Washington, D.C.
The most liberal president in U.S. history has taken pride in his consolidation of government control over the American people. He calls it “change.” Those first and second generation Hispanics, along with some from the third generation that know history, have seen this type of change before. But Obama has far greater accomplishments that will never find their way into a DNC ad. Without President Obama, and his special brand of radical liberalism, the Tea Party would have never been born. And thousands of everyday Americans would still be on the sidelines just living their lives. President Obamas greatest accomplishment may be the awakening of the conservative movement in the Latino community. Many are starting to take a look at Obamas change and are recoiling in disgust. This time, instead of fleeing, Hispanics are choosing to fight!
Apostle Claver tells the world how the real party of racism is the Democrats
“Anyone who thinks Latinos vote conservative is delusional. Historically Latinos vote 60-85% LIBERAL. The new generation of invaders and looters vote almost 100% liberal - they do not want the freebies cut off.
The conservative voting Latino is a myth. There are a few exceptions but not significant enough to chase.”
I’m with you. I live in Arizona and don’t know any Latinos who aren’t fanatical Democrats. They are as in love with Obama as the blacks are.
Many of them at least just might be ready to listen.
I'll concede wrt Hispanics although they heavily tilt Left, but 90%+ AA approval of Zero and his disastrous administration says they *are* slaves, even if the shackles are between their ears.
My whole point is that where people come from and their background has a lot to do with why they come here, how they come here and what they do when they get here. You cannot generalize about the Latino population because it is very diverse. You are seeing one facet of the Lation population, I see another.
It’s absolutely hillarious to listen to some political idealogue say the word “latinos” in heavily accented Spanish, while speaking English, then reverting back to English in an instant. It’s done with a certain pretentious flair that connotes brilliance as if one is above the surrounding society.
It’s like listening to someone describe his American citizenship in hyphenated form, or someone else describing another’s citizenship in that way.
It all has a tinge of obnoxious political elitism.
The question is, if you’re hyphenated, why don’t you go back to your hyphen?
Just asking.
IMHO
Reps are deluded if they think that they can gain any where near the majority of the Hispanic vote.
Hispanic Family Values? Runaway illegitimacy is creating a new U.S. underclass.
The last revolution traumatized the heck out of the Mexicans, and the Indians living in Mexico. After the internal deportation of the Yaquis to southern Mexico, where they lived as slaves, they were only allowed to return home in the 1940s.
It doesn’t help matters either that they have a revolution in 1810, and one in 1910, now that it is 2010. And Mexico is up to its eyebrows in potential nightmares.
Of course, leading the list is the cartel wars.
Meanwhile, just today in southern Mexico, there was a major assassination:

Add to that, the growing Santa Muerte cult, a throwback to Aztec religion, with as many as 2m followers. This one is scary, as they could become worse than the Indian Thuggee overnight. All they need is a charismatic leader, and there could be a whole lot of homicide going on.
In their last presidential election, the losing socialist called on his followers to shut down Mexico City, and they collectively refused, because they were so averse to its revolutionary overtones.
Yup, follow the 80% that vote Dem in mass.
On a positive note, congratulations to Cain Velasquez the new heavyweight UFC champion, I know latinos are proud. And I myself am glad he shut up that loudmouth Lesnar.
It was written phonetically in order to illustrate the Spanish language affectation of those who feel sympathy for the objectives of La Raza.
Mexicans and Americans fought side by side for freedom from Mexico and for the TExas republic. It is a part of American culture to associate with whom one chooses, to embrace whatever culture one chooses, all in the context of American citizenship and assimilation.
There are those who have assimilated into America while retaining Mexican roots without wanting to renounce American citizenship and returning the entire southwest to Mexico.
The aims of La Raza are not the same as those with Mexican heritage who would not even think of becoming Mexican and fighting to give the southwest United States back to Mexico.
So, to those who want the entire southwest to be returned to Mexico, go back to your hyphen, whether it be to Mexico, Europe, or whatever.
Texas was already Texas in 1848, so you can remove that from your total, they had already defeated Mexico’s army, and won their independence.
Also, there were very few Mexicans in the regions. The Mexicans that you see here today are newcomers, not descendants.
This is an invasion by refugees fleeing the Mexican hell hole, to escape to the dream land.
