In an interview with Al Hunt of Bloomberg News scheduled to be shown Friday night, Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. commented on the need for disclosure when corporate interests contribute to political groups.
I was amazed at the amount of money, this $200 billion of money that is where theres no accountability, he said ... But his tongue slipped again a moment later. So it really Ive never seen this before, so the only caveat Id put in terms of the House is how much impact this $200 billion are going to mean.

O'BRIEN: ...to create energy, and it sounds to me like an evil plan by Lex Luthor to defeat Superman. Can you, can you tell me, is this a viable solution, geothermal energy?
GORE: It definitely is, and it's a relatively new one. People think about geothermal energy - when they think about it at all - in terms of the hot water bubbling up in some places, but two kilometers or so down in most places there are these incredibly hot rocks, 'cause the interior of the earth is extremely hot, several million degrees, and the crust of the earth is hot ...
CORPORATE donations bad, UNION donation good.....
It took me 1.5 miinutes to find this:
“The temperature of Earth’s core can only be estimated, and the estimated temperature range is between 5,000-6,000 degrees Celsius or over 9,000 degrees F. This estimate is for the inner core only.”
Several million degrees, Al?
Biden’s a little confused.Like a duck hit on the head with a hammer.
Check out the photo on Drudge,he looks like an idiot.
From the NYT Blog link, Michael D. Shear provides the oxymoron: “Mr. Biden clearly meant...”
That's old news from before global warming?
Biden is far and away the best life insurance policy that this President could ever have.
“You know Joe here, he’s on the ticket to make it okay to vote for the colored.” There can be NO other reason.
Good point, although Biden always looks like an arrogant ruling-class idiot so I didn't notice. Also, you reminded me that I found this article through Drudge and should have credited his site.
CORPORATE donations bad, UNION donation good.....””
Biden has his title today due to MILLIONS of dollars donated & ACCEPTED by the NObama campaign in the runup to the 2008 election.
Biden has NOT GOT CLEAN HANDS in this issue, IMO.
I assume he made a mistake but you can bet that the interviewer didn’t call him on it but probably agreed with him. You can see the NY Times guy didn’t question the figure either. But they are journalists and facts will never get in their way. I guess I’ll have to watch Bloomberg and Al Hunts show to see if Al challenges him on the figure. Al is such a good journalist and commentator that I’m sure that he questions Biden many times over the figure rather than acting as a lap dog and Progressive Activist and accepting the Democratic talking points and maybe even repeating them.
Check out the comments on the NYT website. They are distinctly anti-Dem. And the comments that have been “recommended” are very lopsidedly anti-Dem.
God forbid something ever happened to the POTUS (and I really mean that), having this guy as the leader of our country would be... well... words cannot describe.
I have worked a lot of wells in the Western US. While there are some areas drilled specifically for geothermal energy, the wells I have worked range in bottom hole temperature from 240 degrees F to 380 degrees F, generally between 12,000 and 15,000 ft. of depth. That’s a far cry from Mr. Biden’s estimates, but those are real measurements.
What a stupid bastard.
He may have been stupid enough to let slip some real numbers. I figure the Stimulus was big enough that they could probably siphon off at least 50 billion, maybe more. The whole program is a skimmer/scammer’s wet dream.
